We added 5 more shares with the word of the split coming. Our broker says the train may be approaching the station with the split opportunity and other competitive players catching up with the technology. The mother in law turned $5k into nearly $500k. Not much bad news here. Congrats to the OP.

Every time I hear mention of Nvidia I think of C-Ya and their fortunate purchase and handling of the stock. These kind of things donā€™t happen often. It somewhat reminds me of the ā€œQual Comā€ phenomenon of years ago. Another, ā€˜Hey, I know a guy who . . . .ā€ Unfortunately, like most, weā€™ve not been involved in either of these amazing stocks. Congrats to C-Ya and all who are invested.

I know it sounds like a fishing story about The One That Got Away but about 5 years ago Nvidia was on my list I was watching it and going to make a $10,000 Buy in can't remember what the price was but I'm sure it was around $200 or so per share boy I'm sure kicking myself in the ass. I did buy in before the Big Spike at about 600 per share so not a bad take but nowhere near what I could have had. Super micro computer was also on my list but I am a dumbass LOL

When I started this thread, NVDA was trading at $598 per share.

If you, the reader, had invested $1000 on Feb 6th, 2024, You would now have $1,907.34

Needless to sayā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.. I am so FRIGGIN HAPPY! OMG Today, NVDA closed at $1140.59

It is BEYOND BELIEF

My current Scorecard:

19k initial investment + 11 Years of DIAMOND HANDS = $4,562,360

Since 1 week ago today, my Nvidia portfolio has grownā€¦ā€¦ā€¦. $822,360. Not too bad! LOL

AGAINā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.. My wife and I are completely BLOWN AWAY! HOLEY MOLEY

C-Ya, I did just what you said above. I like a good flyer once in a while and I put in $1000 right after you started this thread. šŸ‘ šŸ‘ šŸ‘

We got a few shares back in February after reading this thread. I almost sold when the gel coat bill came as the profits would have paid it off, but held on like you said to. Glad we didnā€™t sell two weeks ago. Average buy in was $615 for us.

Not to sure on what to do next. Take our profits, pay off debt and move on, invest more after the split, or hold. Iā€™ll have to think about it. But, this is much appreciated!

And, congratulations again!

When hogs get fat they get slaughtered. The rug pull is going to happen at some time. I don't think there is another stock that went as parabolic in the past 2 years as NVDA.

For those keeping scoreā€¦ā€¦ā€¦

Ive lost over 300k since yesterday morning. Ouch

I am submitting my application to Walmart now! LOL
Did you sell any?
If not, you havenā€™t ā€œlostā€ a dime. You have an account that shows $300k less in it. If youā€™d like to gift me something, Iā€™ll lose it for you.

As usualā€¦ā€¦.. it bounced back. It closed at an all time high today.

I have no plans of selling. I believe this is still a good investment for those who get in now, based on what we have read about future NVDA predictions.

LuauLounge is definitely right about this factā€¦ā€¦ā€¦. It is just a paper number until I sell.

One last thingā€¦ā€¦.. when I started this thread, I thought it had neared its peak. I figured this thread would just die out. It is amazing to me that it just keeps growing. Common sense, says that it cannot continue. However, some analysts are predicting that it will double again by next year. FWIW, had I known what was going to take place, I never would have started this thread. If it goes to the equivalent of $2250 per share (value of share before split), I am not sure I want to spend the next year on this thread as my NVDA portfolio starts to reach an 8 digit valuation. Sure I am happy as hell. But keeping this thread going is starting to get old for me. I do appreciate the kind words and those that truly wish me the best. However, I also can see how it could look bragidocious. That was never my intent. Itā€™s that feeling, that keeps me from posting todayā€™s scorecard. Its only going to get worse. NVDA will continue its trajectory.

When I started this thread, I was up 1 million since December, bringing me to approx 2.4mill. Since then, I have gone past 3mill, then 4mill. Now, I know, without a doubt, that I will soon eclipse 5mil. 1 year from now, I could be at 9mill. Letā€™s kill this thread before that happens? lol I donā€™t believe I can get any happier than I already am. Wellā€¦ā€¦ maybe when I sell? LOL

I donā€™t give investing advice. However, I am pretty sure you can make at least 20% on your investment, if you were to purchase NVDA today. Latest prediction is $1550 per share. Itā€™s currently at $1164

I want to hear about the first reckless purchase you make when you cash out šŸ˜Ž. If you say that you wonā€™t make anyā€¦. Well whereā€™s the fun in that??

Although I am on team C-ya I totally understand how you feel. Wealth is a private issue and something a bad actor could potentially use against you. The regulars here are completely happy for your success but remember there is plenty of lurking too.

Either way you choose here's to your success šŸ»

Geezā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ When I woke this morning, I was already 131k ahead, from last nights post.

Current Scorecard:

19k Investment + 11 Years of Diamond Hands = $4,788,000 (10:56am eastern time)

Current share price $1197

When it hits $1250 per shareā€¦ā€¦.. I will hit 5 million.

Playing the market is like gambling. The gains can be great or not. I donā€™t sell, just buy. That will change as Iā€™m old and itā€™s time to start cashing out, slowly.

Here is a fun factā€¦ā€¦.

Tomorrow will be the 4 month anniversary since starting this threadā€¦ā€¦..

In 4 months, my Nvidia portfolio has grown $2.4 mill.

That is 600k per month or 150k per week, or 20k per day, or $833 per hourā€¦ā€¦. Life is Good

I must repeatā€¦ā€¦. I am just so Friggin Happy!

FWIWā€¦ā€¦.. At some point, we need to retire this thread. I am thinking when it hits $1500 per share.(6 mill)

I think itā€™s time to enjoy these winnings lol. You canā€™t take it with you.
Shit he has mad like 1.5 since I told him is crazy for not taking profits.

Seems he is in a no loose situation. May as well let ride until he starts loosing millions. He has so much in that he has time to get out and still come out way ahead on his investment.

Diamond Hands!!!

Long game is CYA doesn't need the money and he will leave it to his kids which at that point they will receive at fair market value (step-up in basis) and then they can sell with no taxable consequences or let it ride for the next $10 million.

I cannot image the feeling of what my friends and I call "weightlessness". Escaping the pull of gravity "financially". Not worrying about where the next paycheck is coming.

I have been working since I am 12 years old. I don't know any other way. I envision this feeling to be euphoric. So many places I would go and see while I had the chance.

So many people in my inner circle would be SET for a year or even more.

I love watching the millions be made. Its awesome.

Nvidia Now Outweighs The S&P 500's Entire Energy Sector

Nvidia is now worth more than the GDP of every country except these 11

The chip maker has greater value than the economies of countries including Russia, South Korea and Australia

Nvidia is now worth more than all of Germanyā€™s stocks put together.

What could go wrong?
