Are you trying to convince us or yourself?
Millionaires don’t give a fuck about convincing anyone.

I think all he is saying is if he would have listened to me and others he would have lost out on allot of money.

This guy has had the stones to hold this very large return for a very long time.

He has a plan and is sticking to it.

Good for him.

I mean in all honesty when was the last time anyone of us sold a stock for a couple million return? I’m gonna shut up and stay in my 5 figure lane🤣

As of August 28, 2024, the S&P 500 index has returned an average of 19.09% year to date (YTD). Nvidia is part of that performance, I am happy for c-ya! And feel like I a part of it albeit 1/500 th of the stones he has. Go nvidia!

We are in different races Vic run your own race.

I set a goal in 2020 to have a certain amount saved for all my kids when they turn 18. Kids are 14,10,7. I’m 3k away from that goal.

I have won in life in my opinion.

Just set your goals and you will get there.

Oh I’m not worried about it that’s why I posted don’t be cocky. We are all in different spots. It’s nice to have 20k or whatever to put into an investment. Not everyone can do that but again I think being humble is a much better look.

Meet Kevin just put out an interesting video. I’m not going to buy anymore but I’ll hold what I have. No real point in selling even if it goes to zero I won’t lose much

I don't know. I listened to the earnings call afterwards and I think Jensen screwed up by not coming out earlier and saying that there is a delay on the blackwell chips. He should have done that earlier, a few weeks ago, not during the earnings call. I think chips are going to get beat up a little here going forward.

Market is on the edge as is so these earnings have to be perfect. Look what happened to SMCI the past month. It's getting killed. I can see AMD going down to $100 also. The A.I. play isn't what it was thought it would be and businesses are not spending as much as original estimates.

I'm going to short chips tomorrow, specially if they recover at all. CRM and CRWD will sink as well in my opinion. We'll see.

Yeah, glad we gave Intel 8.5 Billion tax dollars to waste. They are laying off, stock has tanked and now they might not build the new plant in Germany. All the shit they are doing now was planned before the fn chips act. What a debacle.

I love seeing people succeed in every facet of life, personal, financial, family, business, etc……

That’s some brass balls to have millions in a market that you essentially have zero control of, my hats off to @C-Ya for holding his position. I hop this shit goes to $5000 a share👍

I saw a chart earlier on Nvidia earnings vs estimates, can't find it now. Anyway they beat earnings but there has been a downward trend on how much they have been beating vs estimates. Blowouts early vs moderate beat, relatively speaking. Market probably thinking it valued pretty fairly right now......

FWIW……….

My wife and I are in it for long term. The volatility we are seeing today, is no stranger to us. Sure, it makes us nervous. But we always remind ourselves that we are playing with the house’s money. We are in a stratosphere that we never contemplated and it’s like being in fantasy land, with the way things have turned out. We know it won’t last forever. But we also feel as though we are not yet close to the peak. There is still some growth to be squeezed out. However, it’s getting harder and harder to follow the predictions because currently they are all over the board.

Right now, we will continue to hold. Mainly because the publications we trust, are predicting it to $150. Based on after hours trading, I am expecting tomorrow to be brutal. I will probably loose a custom Havasu home tomorrow! Lol

Had I taken this advice, 3 weeks ago………..I would be out 1.2 million today.

Here is a question?

How many of you in RDP land took advantage of the dip? If you had made a 10k investment 3 weeks ago…….. it would be worth 13k today. Not a bad return! 30%

Let’s hope that tonight’s report is positive. I am still waiting to become The Bionic Man. $150 per share will get me there! lol
Im not a financial adviser and dont take this as advise, RDP is for entertainment purposes only!

Actually you would be up. i called the top when it was 124.
i said it would bounce at 104ish it did
than said if the bulls dont step back in here 104, it was going to 80 and it went to 90.
lucky for you the bulls came back.
However lower highs and lower lows, very well could be heading lower.
I hope you kill it. Good luck!

Your chart sucks, look back i called this play by play. 110 would be my next target. I don't nore have i ever owned any NVDA shares. I have never been lucky enough to buy a winning lot ticket like C-ya. Thats not the game i play. However i have multiple stratgies that work great for me. I play money ball, i get on base over and over and over.

My chart sucks? My chart shows exactly what it needed to. What the price was on August 5th when the posts I quoted were made and what it was yesterday. I don’t need all that complication to make my point.

I think it will bounce back to 125+ by end of day tomorrow....shall see

I think that people were expecting more even though they exceeded expectations. I also think the 50 billion buy back is a factor.

so in laymen terms, are you suggesting if you have what @C-Ya has invested, would you be pulling out?

i would have sold after the july 11 peek couldn't make a new high. Stocks don't make runs like this often and there is a reason for that. Its a lotto ticket. Personally i invest mostly in commodities. NVDA could go out of buisness but the materials it takes to make those chips will alwasy be around and needed.

Some think it will go up and others it will go down, thats what makes a market.

That buyback is minuscule. Less than 1.0% of the average float. Needed to be in upwards of $250B.

So you think people were disappointed in the earnings because they weren't way over the top?

What caused the drop

you all have fun.
Working in software tech, the list of companies I can invest in is very limited. Everything is in a blind trust.
Potential & current customers I work on = NO
Parters = NO
Tech partners = NO (includes almost all AI companies).

I have zero idea what I own. I just allocate money each month to the account and get statements.
Mike the Money man does all the work.

Pretty much. Crazy what the maker expects from this company. The beats are still beats they are just getting smaller. There were other issues as stated in the release. I’ll grab those as well.

I wish I would have sold all mine, keep 1/2 for some reason but was feeling a drop at earnings was going to happen no matter what. Bought some back yesterday but my feeling is its heading down for a little bit.

I saw this meme posted someplace, makes me wonder if there is real value to this company based on its merits and productivity, or it’s just the masses of folks in todays digital economy pushing buttons and making waves where they don’t truly belong?

Is this a bubble at this point or is there real value?

I would argue that there’s more value in Nvidia than in Crypto. At least Nvidia has tangible assets and makes something.

If it can hold this zone 105 110you might see it retest its highs of 140, However that rounding top makes it low odds. if it breaks 100 watch out below.

JUST MY OPINION, the blackwell chip delay and the justice department far stretched query scared the heck out of a lot of investors, (along with the job market numbers fear and some other market moving data fears) I am ONLY GUESSING it may go down to 101, but at every single drop I am buying small chunks at a time, will buy every 1.50-2.50 dollar drop til I run out of allocated investment funds. I want to try to keep it averaged out at 107.00 or under (hopefully). Who knows I may lose my ass, or I may have an amazing smile on my face when all said and done, either way DO YOUR RESEARCH and NEVER listen to anyone telling you how to invest your money without your own research. Good Luck...
