Taking some customers out to Monarch tomorrow. I haven’t swung a club in over a year. I am sure going to make them look good.

His ego got to him. I told him to drop in-line with where it went out and take a stroke. He insisted on stroke&distance. So he confirmed 5 as we drove off teebox.
Not the first time he's done it. Lol, sometimes he "corrects" a score 3 holes later🤣

Water down a ducks back for me but it's slowly grating at the group.
I don’t understand why so many golfers have this mentality.

First time playing Monarch yesterday. Tee’d off at 10am and half way through the sun came out.

Did 9 holes Friday. Hole 3 and 5 I should have been 1 under par both on green first stroke 5 I was 6ft away too. 🙈 but 3 and 6 are usually my worst holes but did my best overall too.

Player tahquitz course palm springs yesterday. Beautiful day! Played super slow though from a wedding group in front of us or something but I was not in a rush. Long ass work week so hanging out with some buddies drinking some cold beer and playing a new course was awesome.

Holed out at 87 from the whites. Not great but not bad for a a new course. Had a few doubles that messes up my score.

Cool course. The section through the houses isn’t my favorite but the holes are the other side of the road are worth it.
We played legends the other course was still down for overseeding.

It was looking beautiful

Way too many people play from the tips when they should be up front.
Players egos and course marshalls/starters
who are there for free golf and find stray balls instead of doing their job. Can’t count the number of times I’ve played behind hacks that can’t get it past the red tees or over forced carries. Rant over

Happens man!!

Yes it does! I had one par and all the rest bogeys on the front. On 10 hit a big 200 yard fade around a tree to 5 feet below the hole and missed it for birdie thought I was going to turn it around. Tough course...lost 60 bucks

Wife and I played Emerald Canyon on Saturday. First time playing out at the river which was a nice change of pace. I was impressed in how good of shape the course was in. The front 9 was awesome with plenty of shade, the back 9 had little reprieve from the afternoon heat which got up to about 90 but all in all a great day. Pace was about 4.5 which wasn't too bad. First time my wife completed an entire 18 with me without picking up her ball on selected holes so that was cool.

Shot the same 6 over on the back so I can't really complain considering my driver decided to turn into a complete asshole starting on 1 resulting in my retiring it and playing with a hybrid off the tee boxes which was on point.

I’m a single digit handicap and always play the tees that suit the worst golfer in the group! I don’t care if I have to hit five iron off the tee just so I don’t have to help people around the course from the tips.

Hit Admiral Baker North (Former Navy course here in San Diego) last week. Birdied two holes back to back. Failed to hit 3 out of 4 par 3 greens though, but made up and down on 2 of the 3. The long par 5 hole on 18... I was on in three for the first time ever. And turned my birdie putt into a bogey just like that. :(

Apparently Phil Mickelson played here a couple months ago. I am told he shot a 59 on the South Course. Hitting bombs, obviously. LOL

Got nine in last night with my daughter and her friends. Marshall Canyon. Fortunately we hit the fairway or we wouldn’t have found our balls.

Goat Hill in Oceanside has a charity Thanksgiving tourney they put on each year, one of the pros coming this year is Freddy Couples. Charley Hoffman has been a regular too.

Got to play tijeras creek couple weeks ago was nice for sure but man the grass outside the fairways was tall lost a few balls too.My game was shitty there too but i have only played executive par63 course locally where i can do good.

Not use to sending ball over lakes or having to hit from above to land on the green below etc was a challange but fun.

Left about 6 putts 1 inch short of birdies and pars yesterday. Really frustrating when all is right except pace😠. I'm sure I'll blow 5 or 6 beyond the hole Saturday😏😖.

Interesting thread, just never opened it. Played Boulder Creek in Boulder city along with Laughlin Ranch last weekend. Week prior played Temecula Creek and Pechanga.

What course is this?
It’s Dove Mountain. Up the hill and middle of nowhere in Tucson. Beautiful course and resort. Wish we had another day there.

Buy the perfect putt trainer. Guaranteed to stop leaving putts short. The slope before the cup is pretty steep. The first round after using it i blew everything 4’ by.

Wife and I have been playing weekly for the past 2 years. However we never keep score. Consider it great exercise and a chance to take in some good scenery at all the different courses.

That’s amazing! Great for you guys.

Great. We signed up for a membership there last year and couldn't be happier that we did. That place is really well maintained. Let me know the dates and maybe we can shoot a round
Maybe super bowl Sunday or Monday the 14th. I'll let you know when I figure it out.

What’s your thought on being hurried on the course there?
The selling point on Laughlin Ranch is the low stress level

The pace of play wasn’t too bad. We finished in 4:45 which was a little slow but not too bad. Half the players play once a year and the course is fairly tight so there were a ton of lost balls. A TON.
As a resort it’s pretty awesome. The views and scenery are incredible. The course has 3 nines. I really liked the two we played. Probably a little tough for resort golf but fun if you like to play. The biggest issue is being 30-40mins from town. It was a long ride to dinner and back each night. Would be great for a couples weekend.
