Talk among s in the kitchen this morning was about when these deals started happening with frequency and why wethought they were happening. Myself, a middled aged black lady with kids, and a somewhat liberal leaning divorcee with 2 teen aged daughters who is into herbal cures and such, were going back and forth. It was a concensus that the issue is not the availability of guns, but the use of heavy mind altering drugs starting at early age.

Prime examples were a couple of former dish washers we had working. One was somewhat autistic and takes a quantity of various prescribed drugs. He told the staff one day that he finally got his dad and the Doc to take him off a particular drug that made him rage inside and want to kill people. That statement stopped folks in their tracks at the time. Kid was quite intelligent, just a bit slow. The type that looks innocuous, yet has trouble controlling his emotions and focusing.

The other dishwasher was an early 20 something that had played in a band, got into designer drugs and kind of went crazy. He had serious issues with delusion and claimed to be have seen Jesus and talked to him on a regular basis.... Others on staff were pretty creeped out by him and one day he just walked out to their relief. He saw me out back one day and stooped to apologize for the way he quit. He told me, "you know I'm crazy, I constantly hear voices."

These 2 are prime examples of what putting these heavy drugs into our kids is delivering society's killing sprees. Guns are just a tool and most of these kids can access any number of weapons of death if the voices show them the way.

As another post pointed out, these kids are halucinating from the mind altering crap being prescribed and struggle with what is real and what is not......When is this obvious cause ever going top be addressed. Arguing over the 2A and more gun laws will stop nothing if the human factor is not addressed. The cause of these shootings is evident, yet not being acknowledged is the real issue.

I’m advocating for whatever works to reduce children being murdered in their schools. My Remington 30-06 with its three round capacity does not seem to be the weapon of choice for school shooters. My AR15 is, and we should probably treat them like we treat silencers and short barrels and for the same reasons.

Some firearms are far more efficient offensive weapons than others. Perhaps you’ve noticed the military favors an automatic version of your AR15 over the bolt action 30-06 or Remington 870? One of the very few opportunities to escape or kill an active shooter is when he is reloading. Give him a vest full of 30 round magazines (or a couple of those hundred round drums) and some body armor, maybe a suppressor to make it harder for responders to pinpoint his location, a bump stick to go fake-auto and you have about 20x the killing potential of a maniac with a revolver or your bolt action rifle or anything else with less offensively designed capacity.
