I will do this for sure when I get home and can compose my thoughts. It might be helpful to some.

I will say this, I am sitting in the ICU In one of the biggest hospitals in northern California in a building that was opened up early to house Covid patients and there’s not one patient in here. I turned on my beloved CNN and tried to watch and ended up screaming at the TV “where are all these Covid patients”? I have been on the floor that housed a couple Covid patients for a week now, I have not worn a mask the whole time, I have touched many surfaces and then touched my eyes and my mouth. Still no Covid.

Dude, even I am glad to hear you’re doing so well.
Becoming aware can be traumatic.
Dont try to take it all in at once, we don’t want you stroking out again right when you are “cured”!!

I look forward to your posts!

Greg is one tough cookie...

He's already survived cancer, and now this. Looking forward to hearing his story.

Me too, the Covid part I am really wanting to hear. This is the first time we will have accurate insider info from a real ICU.

I guess he's loved a little bit more than he or anybody thought. He's definitely fun to stir the pot with. Get well soon.

Loved? I don't know about that, tolerated maybe. 😉🤣
I'm kinda his polar opposite, but I have learned not to let him twist my tighty whities in a knot....not y'all need to take a pass when he's casting at times . It's actually pretty funny if you just sit back and watch the show.

You can laugh at his new salad diet all you want though...
Oh, and no salt for you Greg! Get well dude!

I talk with ICU nurse all the time. Lives next door to one of my jobsites. Only 12 patients currently. Half from old folks home half from local prison. Once admitted to her ICU been a 54% mortality rate. Been a month since they were full.

I haven’t been here on RDP very long. But I’ve seen many Grads posts, and it was obvious immediately that he and I have very different opinions. While I’m sure he’s a pisser and an instigator, I think its all in good fun. Ya know, I see a lot of similarities between him and Trump. Misunderstood by many, but means well, and wants what’s best for everyone around him. Uh-oh, did I cross a line?
Get well. Look forward to letting you piss me off soon..........

It’s late but I just had to take second to say big Thank You to everyone who posted in this thread, it really did mean a lot to me so THANK YOU!

maybe tomorrow I can go into more detail about what caused it, what happened, how the strokes affected me, my icu experience etc.

I will say this. I have been in the COVID ICU in the biggest hospital in the county for almost a week. In fact the room two doors down from me is a Covid ready room. I have a bunch to say and stories to tell about this but I will say the virus is a bunch of bullshit!!!

Because of the alleged virus I had to go about this with no one here for me, I’m not going to lie, I cried a couple times with no family here for surgery. That’s a lonely experience. I walked out of my house last week and told my wife I’d be back in 30 minutes.... I still have yet to see her.
I will do this for sure when I get home and can compose my thoughts. It might be helpful to some.

It's a very difficult thing to realize that you have been lied too your whole life.. It's even more difficult to accept it.

Fake News is a real thing.. and guess what, they didn't just lie about Covid19.. They lied about all of it.

Welcome to the Republican Party btw.

Sometimes it takes a life threatening experience to realize it. Its eye opening when your life is in jeopardy.

Looks like after a week I'm getting moved out of ICU tonight...one step closer to getting home and seeing my wife, family and friends.👍
Damn, I was hoping you were getting sprung today. Do you need me to send you a cake with a file in it.

Glad you're getting away from all those covid patients. 🤣🤣

Yep.
I already warned him, sudden awareness can be traumatic.
Can you imagine if Grads actually gets turned??
Story for the ages right there.

Side note, Greg, have Kate grease the staff and get you the fuck out of there. We’ve got work to do.

Do you have drains in? Those take awhile to get done and removed. Mine where in for 6 days after my heart surgery.

Yep.

Or Tommy in Tommy.
Psychosomatically deaf, mute, and blind until becoming aware.

That is fitting to most Libs imo.
They aren’t REALLY blind or just plain stupid, it’s psychosomatic.
Sometimes a jarring realization makes them...FINALLY...aware.

It never occurred to me that it would take over a week to get an impacted dildo out. Guess I don’t think about that stuff much.

Good to hear you are improving and are closer to going home.

I have to say what an amazing place RDP is.Grads is a complete smart ass that gets under everyone's skin and yet everyone here wishes him a speedy recovery including myself nobody wished him any ill will, it really was the complete opposite .Dave you should be very proud of what this site has become.I for one I'm glad to be a part of this crazy place we call RDP.
