The Fox shocks will help a lot. My friend’s ‘21 with a steering stabilizer, leveling blocks and Fox Shocks on 35” with 45 PSI tire pressure rides well.
Glad to hear.
I was unaware when I clicked the Tremor option, that it includes the 5 leaf with 2 stage overload rear springs-same ones you get on the F350.

I didn’t know you had a Tremor. Those twin tube shocks on it suck.

My friends is not a Tremor, but it has the camper option. Apparently that means one step stiffer on the springs from what would be standard on that configuration.

Exactly your f250 is literally the same as a f350.

I would have ordered the camper package and got a f350 with a 250 badge but it was too late and I would have had to pay a price increase.

I think the shocks will be a great upgrade. As far as the stabilizer, (the dual fox shock unit) I have a friend that I have installed a few for, and he swears they are the best thing you can do. It can't hurt.

I didn't me to sound so negative before, I should re state just how impressed I am with the drivetrain. Mileage aside, it is super smooth, sounds really good, and feels like much more than the advertised power numbers. I would put money on this truck beating my Gen 2 Raptor from 50-90. Not the quickest off the line, but the passing speed is great. Going up the grade outside Indio w/ 10k toyhauler I could maintain 60-65 in 8th with lots left.

That magical badge change that gets you a higher tow rating and GCWR 🤣

lol up. I crack up when people say you need a 1 ton to tow that. Yet they can’t point out anything different between a 3/4 to 1ton.

You should hear the guy at work giving me his pro RV towing tips ( he has never owned an RV )

When I told him I have had a class A commercial with multiple endorsements and I probably have it under control he keeps giving me advice lol.

Did you get a 7.3?

I’m wondering how they run with the 3.55 rear gear. I’m not going to tow too heavy with it.
My 2022 F250 with the 7.3 and 3.55's experience is that it tows my 8,000 lbs 33' trailer great. I get about 7.5-8MPG towing and have gotten as high as 13MPG unloaded, freeway cruising using eco mode on the transmission. Most of the use it gets is towing the trailer, almost all our trips include a pretty steep freeway grade, and the truck does great, stays right with the flow of traffic, coming down it will hold itself in gear and rev pretty high, but keeps the MPH where you want it without a ton of brakes.
Overall I am extremely happy with how the truck performs.

What are your guys thoughts on extended warranties?

My dealer quoted me $2300 for 8yr 100k Ford extended warranty. That’s for the Premium care which covers pretty much everything.

I’m not an extended warranty guy. But I will be keeping this truck for a while. My wife gets the next new vehicle.

Repair bills get expensive nowadays so it seems like a good idea. Especially if something happens to that 10speed.

I did the same thing on mine. Thankfully I have not had to use it but it is nice to know it is there if I do need it.

I used to buy extended warranties on things, even our 2010 Honda Accord. I’ve never used them. So, I skip ext war 100% of time on everything. Any major issues have ended up covered under some class action or mfg extended component warranty. [Knock on wood].

What kind of miles do you expect to put on the truck? If you don’t expect to hit 100k miles at 8 yrs, why bother? JMO. Being a glass half full guy, I believe a domestic truck can go 100k without major repairs.

I buy them now on new vehicles, to much to go wrong with all the electronics.

I buy mine from https://www.lombardfordwarrantys.com/?fpd You don't need to buy it now, but do it before the bumper to bumper ends.... then there is no inspection. They also have a 12 month no interest payment plan too.

My neighbor electrician has an 2021 F350 CC 4wd service body with the 7.3. LOF may have seen it and its a nice looking truck for a service body.

He comes over for a beer about 2 weeks ago and we start talking and same as others he's getting 8 mpg in town but all else is positive.

However its been in the shop 3x for the same misfire code they change a plug wire to solve. So now he just carries that wire and saves the down time.

Seems like a reasonable deal. The new trucks are so complex it makes sense to have the coverage. Pretty much any repair is going to be over a grand.

See if you can get one that includes rental car coverage. I sprung for the extended on my ‘16 Ram. I never needed it for mechanical repairs, but I was able to use the rental coverage everytime i took the truck in for service- including when my one month old truck spit out a ring and pinion and I was without it for almost 2 weeks. The repair was covered by my regular warranty- but having the rental coverage for those 2 weeks damn near covered the cost of the extended warranty.

It’s $50 less than flood Ford who is supposed to be a good deal.
My dealer showed me their cost and they are making $50 on the deal supposedly...

And it does come with a 10day rental.

Yes Ford is on version 3.0 on the plug wires.

I will probably keep a couple with me just in case.

The 10 speed has of guys complaining about it but it’s mostly guys that say it’s shifts to much. No shit ever hear a semi lol. More gears more shifts to keep it in the torque curve.

Ex diesel owners complain that it revs to much. Gee I wonder why lol

I dont understand the transmission complaints. Many dont know that Ford and GM developed this 10 speed together along with a 9 speed transaxle. The Allison badge on the hood of the GM truck is just branded. Allison did not build any of them.

I watched the youtube vids showing that trans shifting firm and fast. That's what I would want it to do.

Congrats on getting close. I know it has been a long time coming.

Good deal then. I have the plat on our explorer and super duty. It’s fixed turbos, torque limiter on the explorer. Paid for itself 3x over.

Still have some hurdles. Guys are sitting in the lot waiting for shipping for over a month.

But we are getting close.

Shop around…you don’t have to buy the genuine ford extended warranty from your selling dealer. Lots of dealerships online sell them at a discount, so it pays to shop around and pit them against one another.

Just google “ford discount extended factory warranty” (no quote punctuation) and you’ll get tons of hits 👍

Staying at silver lake resort in the June lake loop October 6-11th.
Need to buy an RV or rent one by then.

Nice!

I'll rent you my POS, but you'll need to stock up on duct tape and zip ties first!

😁🤣😝

My bud Chad is waiting a f350 dually from granger. I bought my extended warranty through them. Let us know how the rest of the transaction goes. He’s priority 2.
Already signed some of the paperwork. All I need to do is hand them the check and sign a few other things and I’m done.

Should be out of there in 30minutes. Some guys say 15min. But I’m gonna go over the truck and have them note anything wrong so Ford can’t say it happened on the drive home.

I bought them 96/100k premium warranty
