When I adopted Huck from this website and got him home one of our first adventures was grab the mountain bike and go for a ride. I quickly realized I was the only one getting excersized, that Pup can run a long ways.
Behind me is miles of cranberry bogs and they are comprised mostly of sand, I can never really get good speed in that stuff. Ran into a guy that had one and his looked like it was rigged to go across Africa. Chatted him up and told him I would like to burn my dog out on the bogs, what do think of your bike?
Guy said he was on his 2nd one from the same company and let me know that he had no drivers license its essentially his car and he racks up thousands of miles.

This thing is a beast, Huck averages 17-19 MPH for about 2 miles before he slows down to about 11 MPH for a while. The bogs have several abandoned pits with crystal clear ponds so that is where we take a break.

The tires on this thing are 4" wide and handle the sand fantastic. I haven't been home a lot so I can't give a long term review but I'm thrilled with this bike so far, run into some pretty rough patches and handles anything I throw at it fine. Not a lightweight beach cruiser by any means, its heavy for a bike.

One of Hucks favorite things to do now.

I have the same bike but in red. It is a good rig.

Here’s mine, Super73 that I ride to work everyday. About 45 miles a day round trip. Racking up the miles pretty quick.

Are the inmates who purchased Soul bikes still liking them?

I'm about to pull the trigger on two of em.
Do they have them back in stock? Tried to by a couple back in June and they didn’t have any.

Yessir, they have some colors. A few are coming back into stock early September.

Another question, how's the bike theft in Havasu?

These will probably be strictly Havasu bikes to run from the Foothills to friends houses, restaurants, bars, etc.

We got a couple of Jupiter folding e bikes from Costco. They weren’t very expensive and seem pretty well made. They serve our needs fine.

We’ve ridden all over Havasu and haven’t had a problem with theft. We have decent locks nothing too crazy

Like ours, but don't have many miles on them. Its not a easy bike to pedal if not using assisted power.

Compared to others, they are a big bike.

Do they have stock now? we waited 8 months or so....

Purchased. They called me in under an hour to go over the order.

One is already ready for pick up in Cerritos.

The other one should arrive at the Mesa location late August. I'll probably pick it up when I'm out in Scottsdale for a bachelor party in early September.

Cool, just double check the SKU # on the box to the purchase order in Cerritos as its a freight terminal. Our boxes were tagged wrong, but the it was the correct color inside. Just took another 45 min to make sure all paper works was correct.

I need to check to see if they have any cup holders in stock.

Ok thank you, will do.

I ordered two cup holders, red and black. Both are shipping directly to house. Guy on the phone said they were in stock.

Really don’t like the looks of most of the E bikes so I decided to convert my all original 1968 Schwinn Twinn to electric.
Hid all the electrics as best I could. Of course, no one makes a conversion kit for this so I had to do some fabricating and soldering but she works great. Even figured out how to mount a pedal assist on the old school pedal cranks.
It’ll run 32 mph and works perfect to do a beach cruise from our house in Carlsbad to downtown.
Had a guy offer to trade me straight across for a brand new e tandem. Made ours look like a tinker toy!
I’ll take old school cool 😎

I cant comment on the E part of this conversation, however the fat tires... got my first fat bike in 2011. I love it! It was purchased to ride paved trails and the on beach. However I also had in AZ for a few years and rode it on trails around Cave Creek, and I've had in Park City for a bit riding in the snow. I see no downside to the fat tires, other then it's very heavy, but with the "E" part, who cares.

I am interested in our feedback on these as well. We have been thinking about getting a couple ourselves but hesitant until I see one in person. My wife is 5'2 and they look big and want to make sure she does not need the 24"

I have a Pedego and a Soul, the soul is way nicer and battery life is amazing, but it has fat tires, the Pedego has the regular tires and it like that feel better, but ride the Soul mainly as it is newer and better all around.

I was looking for a cruiser like that. Really wanted one without the fat tires and with standard hand brakes. Old school looking with a battery. 😁

I might just break down and get a couple like yours. Look like they would be great for the beach.

My buddy bought a Sondors Electric bike couple years ago, is 48 volt 500 watt for just under $1,400. I looked the other day and same basic bike is $2,400 now.
Not sure of the current pricing. But last year they raised the price another $600. I have not even rode it this year. Might take it this weekend. Camping down by San Diego. Bike theft has been so bad they removed the bike racks in Hermosa. I don't feel comfortable parking it where I can't see it. Not even sure if it's a thing but at 4k replacement cost bike insurance might not be a bad thing. It's in the garage and hopefully home owners insurance would cover it if taking from there. I have a camera aimed at it just in case.

Seeing a few of the local tweakers riding them now so theft is an issue, bum by seal beach bridge has like a 6k e mountain bike he must of saved up for. When I got my first electric bike 11 years ago, i wouldn't leave it anywhere, now days in Huntington beach, there are electric bikes parked everywhere, figure it helps with the odds.

The bum-free living homeless dude in front of the flooring wholesaler in LA. Last time there he pulled up and blocked the entrance and unloaded a very nice electric mountain bike from a uhaul. Looked like a 8-10K bike. He as offered to get one for the sales rep there.

Was at a spot yesterday next to Martin chevrloet. Homeless have been moving into Torrance in that area. Homeless setup next to the sump had a few nice bikes there as well.

Picked up 2 Rad Rover 6 Plus last week.
Was gonna get 2 Murphs but that extra $1000 more each for the Murphs didn’t make sense.
The Rad Rovers have all kinds of accessories.
Ive ridden lots of different brands.
I chose the Rad Rovers because of the quality of the build and the tons of 5 star reviews.
I strongly recommend the Rad Rover 6 Plus.

Don't skimp on the lock no matter where you live. I came out of the gym to find this. Not the wimpiest lock by a long shot but not good enough. Was right next to my bike locked with Kryptonite NYC Cinch ring chain.

Worst part of the electric bike thing is the theft part.
That‘s all we think about when we are out riding.
Google videos of guys with portable angle grinders cutting through thick bad ass steel locks in 10 seconds.
So the whole idea of riding somewhere to go to a bar or a restaurant or to a store is kinda not gonna happen unless u can see ur bike the whole time.
Theives steal everything … batteries, front wheels, bags, lights, water bottles everything.
Right now my wife and I are riding our bikes with our kids on pathways and around town but no stopping at places like we originally thought.

My wife is about 5'6". I'm picking up her 26" Miss Saber Pro in Cerritos on Friday. I'll probably assemble it this weekend. I'll post some pictures.

Mine isn't ready until late August.

As far as which bike to get?
Get the one that "looks the best to you..
There are soo many different names/manufacturers of these bikes but if you look at them all they all have 99% of the same exact parts.
The frames are different but they all have the same motors,forks,tires/wheels,brakes,shifters,fenders,lights, the list goes on.
Fun to cruise around on for sure.

Just to add to feedback for those who haven't ventured into ebike thing yet....pay attention to the center bar as to how high it sits. You'll tend to step through rather than swing a leg over on these and I've had a couple friends drop the bikes after cocktails cause they get caught up on center bar. I'm 6'4" and still have to bring my leg pretty high up to get it across that center bar.... Its a Rad Rover w/fat tires... they make a step through version which I'd recommend after seeing everyone struggle with mount/ dismount. I got a smaller fat tire Rad for gals which is plenty beefy for fellas too and its a step through frame so nobody falls getting off/ on regardless of alcohol content lol. Batteries are $650 and are interchangeble which is nice. Onward

We ran into this dude in Newport outside FlynFish... he's an engineer who on side builds these crazy go fasts ebikes.... his wife was on a knobby tired offroad styled one.... he claimed a top end 65 mph and took off on a wheelie so kinda believe him. Find him online @ LarkMoto .... I see RDP guys are all about that top end speed so have at it. Really good advise, I went with the extra large based on the manufacturers chart and I'm thinking I could have been fine with a large. I 'm 6' foot and have to lean the bike and swing my leg from the back, my next bike will not be this way.

So true... these bikes are big, tall & beefy. And they weigh a ton. I lent mine to a couple guys at a bar one night just so they could experience the thing and both went down on takeoff.... takes a bit to get accustomed.

As you enter Hermosa on the strand already signs saying they are not allowed. But never see it being enforced. Just like the walk bike signs at the pier everyone rides by.
Took the wifey and granddaughter to the strand last Sunday, people on the ebikes are doin' 30+ miles an hour, the posted speed limit is 8 mph! As soon as someone gets serisouly hurt shits gonna hit the fan. Manahatten Beach is not gonna go for this much longer. Leos along the Strand should start doing what Huntington Beach bike cops do. They sit at the end of Bolsa where the strand ends at PCH and Warner by the Jack In the Crack with a radar gun. Seen 2 road bikers both getting tickets.

People on Mopeds (cough e-bikes) are ruining boardwalks at the beach....traveling far too fast and not exactly well equipped moving at those speeds with crowded boardwalks....I literally see weekly accidents in HB with newbies on e-bikes...

I got two of these locks. They are heavy duty and no one is getting them off without serious equipment. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YB2LJQN

Our Himiway bikes have the fat tires and I am really happy with them because we can ride them anywhere and not have to worry about getting stuck. Wife and I rode them all over the neighborhood yesterday and went up steep hills like it was nothing. They are definitely fun to ride around.

I have the similar kryptonite one. Less than a minute with my 20V Dewalt to remove it. I also have a New York Forget about it lock. But damn thing is so heavy I have not used it on the bike.

I seen the other day by dog beach that have a bike area now and a walk area, don't matter, people walking their dog across with no ideal their about to get drilled. Matter of time and there will be some changes,

Would you consider taking on some side work? I also have a Tandem Schwinn that no one rides that I was thinking of selling, I'd like to have mine converted. Let me know.

Usually park our ebikes where we can see them when we hit HB downtown bars. I now hide an AirTag on them and monitor their location on my wife's fruit phone.
