Does a spartan chassis have a model with ifs? My chassis is a power glide
My 2020 Dmax has DEF. First truck I haven’t deleted and have never had an issue at 103,000 miles from new.The def shit isn’t that big of a deal.. mine has a huge tank. I fill it and forget about it for a year then ya fill it again
We just sold our Super C on the S2RV chassis due to ongoing DEF issues. We plan on getting into a fifth wheel toyhauler. Much less to worry about maintenance wise. If anyone has an S2RV chassis RV and wants a DEF simulator, let me know and I'll be glad to pay it forward. This thread makes me want a trailer/toy hauler to avoid all the headaches.
While my S2RV+ has been humming along without issues, I would be interested in that simulator. I know the Spartan K2, and current "K3" are IFS...biggest damn A-Arms I've seenDoes a spartan chassis have a model with ifs? My chassis is a power glide
American Coach, or Dream...whatever they are, have the DEF on the left...20+ feet away from the fill, but at least there. It's not Spartan I believe that places the tank, it's probably stuffed wherever they can fit it building the coach.
I have heard this multiple times. Our fleet mechanic has asked that we don’t use DEF from a pump in any of the trucks owned by vendors that we know personally.
Think I can swing 40% off on this bad boy?

Dude offered me 23% off. Grinding away as we speak.I would start at 50%, easier for you to give them more money
Keep us in the loop, curious where they are now with discounts off MSRP.Dude offered me 23% off. Grinding away as we speak.
25% until it sits on the lot and 2026’s start hitting the lot. Then 30-35% is lowest they go.Dude offered me 23% off. Grinding away as we speak.

I don’t wanna wait and miss the entire summer. if I place an order now they’re saying 4 to 6 months25% until it sits on the lot and 2026’s start hitting the lot. Then 30-35% is lowest they go.
Might get to 40%, if you finance through them. Refinance or pay it off after 6 months.
Discount on a customer order will never be as good as the discount you will get on a floored unit,I don’t wanna wait and miss the entire summer. if I place an order now they’re saying 4 to 6 months
Renegade offered multiple models on the M2 with an ISL including the Verona 40vbh, which is a bunkhouse.Don’t think they make an M2 Super C…
Correct.Renegade offered multiple models on the M2 with an ISL including the Verona 40vbh, which is a bunkhouse.
I’ve been looking at the Verona but you lose a lot with the front end and it’s a straight axle which kills the ride and turning radius.Renegade offered multiple models on the M2 with an ISL including the Verona 40vbh, which is a bunkhouse.
We have a 05 Dutchstar, got it with 16K miles on it, 100% garage kept. It has a 370 ISL, that has been flawless However pick where you want to throw your money at..
Slide toppers replaced, tires replaced, gaskets on the roof AC units replaced, roof re-coated, batteries replaced, 3 slide motors replaced, 2 slide controllers replaced, sewage valve replaced, Cat Generator has a coolant leak and voltage regulator is bad and they can't find a replacement so possiblylooking at a new Onan generator $$, Air Bags are next to be replaced, and a idler pulley on the motor... not to mention the paint is starting to check...and we have to deal with that
Also old motorhome parts are very hard to come buy, so we always buy spares. Currently looking for headlights as the old ones are not sealed and condensation builds in them...
Other than that it's bad ass! And while the motor is reliable, other things can be challenging...
Yes most of all of there chassis are IFS /Does a spartan chassis have a model with ifs? My chassis is a power glide
Turning radius is actually better than you think. I have the Valencia and it turns better than I was expecting.I’ve been looking at the Verona but you lose a lot with the front end and it’s a straight axle which kills the ride and turning radius.
Wonder what years? My past 08 Newmar 40 ventana did notYes most of all of there chassis are IFS /

Very Cool - Thanks Rush 1Go to this company Flight systems for Onan and a lot of other generator boards, if they don't have it they are capable of rebuilding your controller . I've had them rebuild a lot of circuit boards over the years.Flight Systems

This is a contender. A lot cheaper than the DS 4340 but less room and features, I’m not sure if miss for the $300,000 difference.Turning radius is actually better than you think. I have the Valencia and it turns better than I was expecting.
Verona or Valencia you need to do a few suspension upgrades. MCU’s in the rear and then HD King shocks. I am having both done in July. Verona did not offer the overhead bunk until 22 as an option. Found one in Houston Texas, but the interior was dark grey and dark wood - felt claustrophobic inside.
Front seats spin 270. We use the passenger seat option at camp once turned. works well. Driver seats stays, but its used for storage. Works well. Between the cab curtains, heat-shield interior shades and the thermal insulated curtains, the heat from the cab is almost zero. Have an exterior cover as well, that we use when parked for a week. Friends with a DP always complain about the heat from the windshield.
Last thing to think about. What will your wife drive in an emergency. My wife liked driving the Renegade vs the DP. She said it was like a driving a big truck. I also found out the S2RV/M2 are crash tested, so insurance is less.
Yes, it was the best. We really loved it.That the year Allegro Bus we own. Solid coach!
You are correct 8.9 ISL 4258.9L Cummins. Mine makes 425hp and 1,250tq
25% is max. Renegade does a good job of limiting production to keep the purchase price up.This is a contender. A lot cheaper than the DS 4340 but less room and features, I’m not sure if miss for the $300,000 difference.

travel supreme is the same as a Entegra. they went belly up in 2009 and the employees bought it and changed the nameThe bath and a half with bunks seems to be a newer thing, that's for sure. The '04 Travel Supreme I've been messing with is a Spartan K2 chassis. Funny you mention remodeling, that's what this guy is thinking. He'd like to go with more modern colors and millwork. He has an unfair advantage though, he owns a cabinet company, and knows his way around woodwork. As for chassis and motors, the model year of the coach can be one, and even as much as two years different from the drivetrain. The Spartan chassis drive, and ride, really nice. To me, much better than the Freightliner chassis. The drawback, some of the steering and suspension components are Spartan only, which means they can be pricey, and certified shops are a bit scarce. The advantage though, Spartan themselves will actually help you with email questions and info.
As pointed out above, DEF motors need to be worked regularly. This was one of the main issues with all the little diesel trucks. People would by them up here for running around, and Home Depot runs. We don't have any real highway speed areas for miles. Big problems. Honestly, it's the same for the newer John Deere and Kubota tractors. New property owners buy these new units to tend 5 and 10 acre properties. They idle them around, never building any heat. The DEF systems need a certain temperature to do their thing. If you do get a coach that has all this stuff, I suggest you get a scanner that can check codes, and also force a regen. It is nice to have, and can save you a bunch of headaches.
late model Newmars have def filler and fuel fillers on both sides
I like the way you can lock the kids up in the bunk beds. genius. This is a contender. A lot cheaper than the DS 4340 but less room and features, I’m not sure if miss for the $300,000 difference.

They’re not a newer dealer so I checked with them already, but if I do go with the renegade or something else, I’ll be talking to them because they seem pretty aggressiveBuddy just picked up a trailer in Alvarado TX, grant it the cost of 1 wheel of the rig you're probably looking at, but they do like 500 units a month currently, might try them MHRV i think its called.
it depends on the model of chassisWonder what years? My past 08 Newmar 40 ventana did not

mhsrv is not an authorized Renegade dealer. They’re not a newer dealer so I checked with them already, but if I do go with the renegade or something else, I’ll be talking to them because they seem pretty aggressive
My conclusions as well from moho's to new trucks. Crazy to think of spending that kind of coin on them.and then having to deal with the ridiculous emissions issue too. Down time in the shop with poor results to boot is the biggest turnoff. This thread makes me want a trailer/toy hauler to avoid all the headaches.
If you not using an RV at least once a month, renting is better. This thread reminds me to not buy an RV. Just rent it for the month and return it.
