Someone on the Lake Mead boaters FB page just posted pics of this that they found
YepMob days wait till the salton sea drys up
Asking for a friend? What kind of boat would you need, to roll a 55gal barrel off the back of it?
Body looks to be in good shape. Teeth and DNA should be easy to get. Someone just said to themselves, shit.
I'd say that's only 20 maybe 25 years old. That guy who put the body in the barrel and dumped it in the lake, it most likely dead or in his 80’s
@rivermobsterOld school pontoon with the big front deck!
Just an observation from things you’ve gathered I gather.I'd say that's only 20 maybe 25 years old.
Good. I hope this can bring someone’s family some peace. As awful as it is, it is closure.Body looks to be in good shape. Teeth and DNA should be easy to get. Someone just said to themselves, shit.

Better put that pole on there
Over 500,000 people go missing in the US every year. Nice to see one found and put to rest.Good. I hope this can bring someone’s family some peace. As awful as it is, it is closure.
If it was the Mob, they would of put an oxidizer in with the body and poked holes around the barrel to let air bubbles out. That shit would of been all gone in a year. So I've been told.I say body was dumped in the late 80’s.
20 years ago is only 2002. Mob was smarter on body dumps by then.
This won't be the only one, being so close the Vegas. RIP to deceased.......I wonder if when they sweep the area how many other barrels will be found.
No cap on the two inch hole on the lid, and looks to be punched with a few holes on the existing side. Floated out and shot up to sink?If it was the Mob, they would of put an oxidizer in with the body and poked holes around the barrel to let air bubbles out. That shit would of been all gone in a year. It’s pretty close to the middle of where the water line “was” and where the island is.You would think they would have gone dead center in the middle of the lake... I know the water had dropped significantly over the years. but that seems pretty close to the shoreline even for back in the day if it is exposed now.

The mob always say in court, we dont transport bodies, they come to the crime scene voluntarily.Funny you say that. I know that area very well as I grew up out there. The mob had a hunting club out there since the 50's. I guarantee you are right.
There are a bunch in the weeds by Boulder Harbor. I went down Saturday saw them all and didn't think anything of it. Was 20ft up from this one walking toward the ramp.I wonder if when they sweep the area how many other barrels will be found.
Come on man! Walt and Jesse used plastic barrels.walter white disposal unit
Friend of our family was old Vegas Mob. Part owner of the Sahara in the 50's. He always said wait until they start building this or that way. So many bodies buried. My brother and his family came over this evening and he mentioned this breaking news. I told him it's like that body they dug up by his house that was dated back to the 70s.
He told me that the news said it was a homeless person that died in the late 70s. I told him I don't know of a homeless person that would be in the middle of nowhere that somehow gets buried.
