I'm hanging tight with them but getting itchy keyboard fingers.:(
Yeah I know what you mean, all my automotive stocks are taking a beating right now and particularly Ford which I'm very heavily vested in. I just have to keep reminding myself that the biggest bulk of that stock was bought when it was $1.80 a share.

Zuckerburg has been dumping his shares of FB for the last 6 months. You think he knew something about today?

I'm sure you know this...

Ford says it's going to spend $11 billion on a plan to revitalize its business. There's a big problem, though: Ford won't say what the plan is.
To say some Wall Street analysts were peeved would be putting it politely.

Barclays analyst Brian Johnson said he's worried Ford "does not have a good handle on either the operational or strategic levers of the global business."

I don't know about the next 6 months but one that I dumped money in this week that I expect something big to happen is GWPH. They have an epilepsy drug made from weed that is supposed to get final approval from the FDA by June 27th.
So they got final approval and now waiting on the DEA to reschedule marijauna down from a class 1 drug. The DEA has 3 months from the time of their approval to make their decision so expect something by Sept. 27th.

On a side note another marijuana stock killing it for me is TLRY. I feel like I wake up every day and it's up another 8%.

Halfway point; the herd is spreading out.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b7vnYkPvgSIKiNDrfr-gMDJBKWv3SO41g4FtT4h4alY/edit?usp=sharing

FYI; spreadsheet is dynamic, so numbers may slightly change into today's close.

23 picks (individual stock, index or futures contract).

Avg. (mean): -2.13%
Median: -4.9%

13 = negative
10 = positive

Largest gain: CGC (Canopy Growth Co.) 54.8%
Largest loss: TWTR (Twitter) -35.07%

Interesting:
10 yr Treasury yield up just .06 basis points
Gold -6.8%
Oil +11%

I invested in NIO on IPO day Wednesday at $6.55 and sold yesterday @$9 and watched it go all the way to $14+ this morning premarket. It crashed all the way down to the low $9's this morning.

I got back in today in the 10's. Going to hold now and see what happens.

NIO is the Tesla of China. https://www.nio.io/

How's that working out for you from the time you posted....

I had 1000 shares at $25 and sold at $31. Watched it go up every day since then. I kick myself every day for that. I think it's going to crash after October 17 when weed becomes legal in Canada. Buy the rumor, sell the news. I have $60 and $50 December puts. Saw some good action on those today.

Pretty awesome! Got in at $56 two weeks ago and pulled most of it out yesterday at $119. Thanks for asking.

I almost got into NIO today as well but didn't pull the trigger.

It's only down to $109. That's still a win in my book. But I do have my eye on it and I'm afraid it will continue to go down, but we'll see.

CGC is kicking ass. In dog racing, it's called box to wire. :)

By the way, GE post's a dividend each quarter, and should be added into the final totals. ;)

I'll add dividends to the spreadsheet tomorrow..... I don't think it's gonna help GE much. I've been nibbling as a contrarian play last few quarters. Current dividend is 0.12 cents per quarter.

GE will be ok, after they spinoff their healthcare unit this fall.

It just doesn't make sense. You gotta be crazy to buy any shares at this level but I said the same things at $40, $60, $80,...you get the point. I can't stop watching it and it's so fucking depressing lol.

[emoji849] I’m not sure that’s sage advice.. Not the next 6 months anyway. It’s a safe bet going long, but it won’t gain much coming up.. I have a pretty solid vantage point.. I am curious why you think it’s good?

I sold every last bit of it today at $152.25 which essentially tripled my investment on those shares in 2 1/2 weeks. I was happy about that until I saw that it's still going up in after hours trading. I hope I didn't get out too soon. It is crazy overvalued, something has to give here.

CEO is going on Cramer's show at 3pm today. I have a feeling it's going to $200 by Friday. :(

Some perspective:

Tilray (TLRY), a cannabis company w/ $28 million in sales, now has a higher market cap than 133 companies in the S&P 500....

-Business Week 2007-
The trickiest part of putting your money into a bearish bet is the timing. You can be right that a market, a sector or a single stock is overvalued but wrong on the timing. That’s essentially what economist John Maynard Keynes meant when he said, “The market can stay irrational longer than most of you can stay solvent.” (I would add; Or emotionally intact.)

>Bulls make money, bears make money; pigs get slaughtered< -old Wall St. axiom

For the past 10 years Honeywell is the gift that keeps on giving.

Huge, super diversified into all scetors, well run and a decent dividend while you are holding it.

Since I said it, it is up 12%...Sounds like bad advice to me. Tell us more about why it wasn't "sage" advice.

When I saw this thread yesterday I didn’t realize it was 3moths old. No doubt your return is impressive. Looks like you may have timed the bottom well. The other half and I are both work there.
