Leaving town?
Just got home, we went and did a tour of Northern Arizona University with my daughter, we did a turn and burn. Left yesterday morning from Simi Valley, stayed the night, did the tour this morning and drove home afterwards.

We stopped in Needles for our only stop in the way home, it was 119° at 5:50 with a 15mph wind, it felt like the devil farted.

While sitting in construction traffic yesterday on the 40 some POS foreigner let his semi roll back and hit our truck, I gave him as much room as I could. I backed up as far as I could go before I would hit the car behind me, he probably rolled 40' while myself, another car and another semi were honking our horns. I couldn't just go to the right into the shoulder because there was an arrow board on the shoulder in my way. I wanted to beat the shit out of him.

Hope the tour went better than the drive. It’s a bittersweet process 😬

Tour went great, it's her 2nd choice tied with Texas A&M, Baylor is her 1st choice. We went and toured Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas State San Marcos in June. Texas state is the Berkeley of Texas and she absolutely doesn't want to go there.

Due to her grades (4.3) and the classes she is taking Texas state well give her in state tuition and another 12k in scholarships just to get asses in seats.

Our guide started with the "I'm a member of this black group and this black club and also these lbgt...alphabet clubs" also made it a point to talk about their liberal curriculum and then took us to "protest square" it's where all the school protests start. It's obvious why she doesn't want to go there, she wants to go to school to learn, not protest.

No clue about NAU politics and such.

But, years ago, as a 20 something wrecker driver, I'd always ask for directions. Spring time in flag.Yeah I knew that campus like the back of my hand. Didn't hurt to ask.

All NAU said about the alphabet was during the slide show. When the slide came up they said "we have a few different lgbtq... clubs" and move to the next slide.

Wish I was closer. That looks like a great time with great music. Didn’t realize you were in a band. Have a great time!

Thank you... Yeah, I've been at it for a long time.. Been playing drums for about 45 years, lol..

That’s awesome. Soooo… here’s the debate around the fire pit having beers with the boys…

Who’s the most important time keeper in the band? The bass or the drums, who follows who?

The campfire talk never ends in agreement with this question 😂

There is only one answer to this.. And it's always a big discussion with my band. The tempo's are all the drummers responsibility, Period, end of discussion, everyone follows the drummer. When a guitarist starts a song and it's too slow or too fast I will immediately override their tempo and bring it to its correct tempo hopefully without people noticing and everyone follows along. When I count off a song I will sing the chorus to myself then count the band in. It's a huge responsibility keeping time, and all the band members are always voicing their opinions on the subject, unfortunately lol.
The bass player is pretty much the glue that fills in all the bottom end of the sound and focuses on rhythms with the drummer. A good bass player is everything in a band.
