F1 Boat Races and Crawfish Festival - Dang it is hot.
Good to see that you made it on the water. For a moment I was starting to think that you might have been a non boating member of RDP.We made it, it's been 19 long months.

Great day, water was a cold 63° and the air temp was a nice 75°. There was maybe 25 boats out there today.
Work comp is bugging me to fill out my final paperwork regarding my injury, until I ski, wakeboard and surf to make sure I don't have any issues they are going to have to wait.Good to see that you made it on the water. Interesting way to prep it. I have not seen it were you pull the fibers before cooking. How hard is that process? So do you steam it AND grill it as well?Backyard artichokes again …. Steamed & ready for the grill ….. things are addicting

Yes / No ….. I cut em in 1/2 …. Then steamed em for 20 minutes …. let them cool & scooped the fibers w/ a spoon afterwards …. Basted w/ a mix of juice of 1 lemon / 2-tablespoons of olive oil / 1/4 teaspoon salt & pepper …. Then grilled them over charcoal about 3 minutes on each side ….. to give them a little char / oaky flavorInteresting way to prep it. I have not seen it were you pull the fibers before cooking. Thanks for the direction. I always want to grab some when I see it in the grocery store. This looks like a good reason to try this.Yes / No ….. I cut em in 1/2 …. Dip sauce recipe I used is…. 1/2 cup mayo …. 2 tablespoons of orange juice, 1 clove of fresh garlic minced, 1/4 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 teaspoon of chopped cappers …… really good !

What's the deal with Castaic now-a-days. I haven't had a boat on there since meeting Jim Cole to water test my Nighthawk, and another time to run the brand new 250S, both in 1998.We made it, it's been 19 long months.

I don't recall them giving anyone shit over noise but as long as you aren't hauling ass around skiers and aren't running long distances over 50 they don't bother you, I pretty much roll around the lake between 45 and 50, give skiers plenty of room and slow down when in the area of a downed skier and they don't bother me. Basically don't be an asshole, act like it's your kid in the water. What's the deal with Castaic now-a-days. My son's got my Cole Nighthawk up there and it will be at Teague's soon to restore it from the ravages of being parked in my garage for far to long. I know he's going to be wanting to run it on Castaic post-revival, are they Nazis about exhaust DB and speed limit ?
The view on the start to a great week
