Grand national roadster show move in day is tomorrow. Of coarse it’s going to rain like a mofo. And supposed to rain sunday too. Move out day. What a clusterfuck this should be.

I would imagine the clash for NASCAR gets rained out. They spent all that money on converting the Coliseum…

Going to cause a mess on 1 of my jobs. Just finished tearing out the driveway to tie in the new sewer and run a new water main. This clay sucks and the damn driveway was 10-12" thick taking me 2 extra days. Got my machine moved to the next one though and in a garage ready for rain.

Much respect. Dominate Nic. I remember the days. Not often in SoCal, you can't even get out of the truck. But it does happen. Finish Trades, eating lunch inside new construction, watching water weep out through the drywall nails, down the walls, and spread out across the floor. Dana Point/Newport Coast. Back in the Day.
(Which led to; Elastomeric coatings!) I think the best boost was Riverside County, mandating Masonry Fencing on the line.

Oh shit. I need to pay my dues. Thanks! Happy New Year!

Now you'll also spend twice as much on aggregate to compact and pour as that wet, slick mud absorbs it. But the bright side is you'll have 1 hell of a tight base when it finally dries out for the pour. Haha

Base was free until last month. I just dumped the last load tonight. My bid included 2" of compacted base already. Already got the sand for my main lines in a pile in back. Biggest issue will be waiting for it to dry out. Was trying to get final inspection before president weekend.

Let me know if you need some extra sump pumps. Not sure if it’ll help
I have 1 but I don't want to flood the street with muddy water. If we would of got to the main sewer. I would of drilled a hole on top of pipe at tie in. But 4' deep and still not at it. Thanks

I have 5 apartment buildings im building in LA. They are all going to get fucked up. I have about 10 trash pumps on standby and other sump pumps already set up. This picture was this morning from one by LAX. Showed up, 6” of water covering the entire subterranean garage with the pumps already going all night. All materials stored in garage not on pallets are garbage. I REALLY HATE THE RAIN

Hoping that it dumps in any spots that help to fill up Powell and our river.

I LOVE maps and find this one fascinating. In case you haven't seen it before, you can tap anywhere on the map and see where the rain will ultimately end up.

Thanks, now I know what I'm doing for the next however many hours, 😆

Saw on Fox11 they are predicting a 1000 year Ark storm. Comparing it to a great flood in 1862 with rain equivalent to 10 feet. 1 in 4 houses would be impacted.

Biden were gonna need more stimulus packages !
Of course they are. Just like their hurricane predictions last year! LOL

A Fireman spokesman on the News called last weeks storm a 1000 year storm. Shit, 20 year ago was a shit ton worse, couple years in a row & I'm sure there were plenty like these in the last century. Just sayin'.

This is from Fox 5 News in San Diego site: "While the latest storm did not have same catastrophic impacts as the “thousand-year” storm on Jan. 22, San Diegans still saw a lot of rain — even some overnight hail and mountain snow. So, exactly ho much fell while the system moved over the region?

Our area of SD County got 1.5" and over 2.5" on the 22nd. Should be a lot more next week as it's showing five days of rain still. 🤷‍♂️

Our forecast is for 4.5” Sunday thru Tuesday. Looks pretty solid from Noon Sunday thru Noon Tuesday. Shouldn’t be too bad if it’s just a consistent storm.

I’m working this week and staying extra couple days but hope this damn rain don’t mess up my trip home back to az. Was to go home tues but might on Monday now.

Hate to see flooding and closed roads. Then when I get home I’m gonna get the damn rain I left coming in. 🙈.

There goes my dirtbike riding golf course and shooting activities next week. 👎🤣maybe I’ll drop my jet ski in local flood basin at park. 🤔

Another 35 days and nights then we might make some progress
Those numbers create a massive amount of runoff and are great for filling some reservoirs, assuming they don't pre-release for fear of to much, to fast.
Realistically, numbers themselves don't always equate to the most beneficial progress, unless you're a network meteorologist going for ratings.
Nice deep wet snowpack is best for filling refilling our reservoirs. 👍

For my own selfish needs, give me a modest rainfall spread over a couple of days and repeat this about every 7-10 days. Most soaks in and is beneficial, and enough and it purges the soil of accumulated salts, which makes my avocado trees happy.
Right now you can hear the weeds singing with delight. 😖

The rich would simply bob around in their Superyachts filled with all the hot chicks, as they powered through the floating working stiffs.

Besides, I'm sure Portland's seen 40 days and 40 nights of successive rain and that pile of filth is still there. 🤷‍♂️

You'd think it's Libyan hit squads, groups of Lesbians in Subarus attacking, everyone floating away on picnic tables,,

Remember the same media saying we'll never see New Orleans again, it washed away,, gone.
