I LOVE maps and find this one fascinating. In case you haven't seen it before, you can tap anywhere on the map and see where the rain will ultimately end up.

That tracer is very interesting, not perfectly accurate but still very useful and interesting.

warmer storm. Mammoth will get snow but its on the edge temp wise. Will be in Mammoth late Feb so hoping for more snow as always.

This is the perfect setup to generate a great wildflower season this spring.

It also sets up for a big fire season.

After living in this state since 1948, I've yet to figure out exactly what if any weather pattern sets us up for a Light Fire Season. Even if that were the case, any good governmental employee knows you never, ever, decrease the necessity level for additional funding and resources, be it fire, arms, or paperclips.

Almost 6" of rain in the last 18 hours. Creeks and roads are flooding in the normal places. The end is near,,,,,, ;)

The county road has some issues with slipping though. It very well could slip out and leave me with a 2.5 hour drive to town going around the mountain. Fingers crossed!
