I've been on that 15N ramp, on a saturday afternoon, backed up for 2miles trying to get onto the 91W. Horrible, I can't imagine commuting that far out everyday...:thumbsdown I was looking in the Green River exit area, way closer.

Have you seen Green River in the mornings?

Foothill's really nice. Last year I was looking at those townhomes off Alton and Towne Center Dr, (the one's that face the 241) but there really wasn't anything available at the time. Why did you leave Foothill? Just needed more room?

1100 Sq' condo versus 3000 Sq' new house and a wife with twins who wanted to retire, lol... Parking a crewcab in a condo community? Fuggedaboutit... Plus had enough left from the OC spread to build a nice pool, too. Company truck, company gas card, lol... Haven't bought a personal work truck for over 15 years.

I live down in Horsethief off the 15 and Indian Truck Trail. Yep it's about 20 minutes further. I drive to a different job every day, so if I'm on the 91 I leave pretty early to try an get back early as well. I'm in SD as much as LA so I like my commute just fine.

Also have a nice 11 y/o house, 4 car garage and a half acre lot. I also like to shoot a lot and can do this a mile from my house on a buddys ranch, anytime I want. We've met some awesome friends out here. We moved out here from Foothill Ranch.

I hope Joe Mazz isnt what you refer to as "Awesome" JK....

How do you feel about us taking over LE out there? been to any of the town hall meetings?

Hope all is well

He's retired, LOL. We are looking forward to it, actually. Yes I've been to a few. We have a few of your guys that live down here, one used to live two doors down. It should be pretty seamless. Hope everything is great with you, as well.

sometimes i am glad i dont have a pool.

this is one of those times.

Honestly........ the pool isn't that bad on the bill. I was right around $125/mo before we started using the a/c.

I must be getting old! I happened to be house hunting right now because Yorba Linda is too far out for me and I work throughout the OC mainly. It sucks driving to Lakeview let alone Corona. I saw the available properties in Norco and kicked this around for a bit. But for me the time I can have at home is more important. Now, I dont have to worry about schools and such since my daughter is in college now, and I dont have a house full of people that I need room for either. So for me, its a small house on a decent size accessible lot that is as close to the area that I work.

Honestly, I thought you were crazy for even considering Norco. LOL

Thanks Dan.
We're some time away from this, still paying a lot of stuff off. I did see some of your listings on the realtor.com iPad app we're using.

Because the 91/15 freeways SUCK! lol:cool:

Dan. Is there some areas in the Yorba Linda area that have large lots that are still priced similar to Corona. I know the house will be alot older and most likely be a fixer upper.

What is your bill like during the rest of the year?

Maybe $50 in the cooler months. Decembers bill is always high though from all the Christmas lights. :D

I live in Eastvale and commuted to North Hollywood for 2.5 years. It was 62 miles door to door. I traveled on the 71, 57, 210, 134 and I-5, so I was a bit north of where you need to go. The commute is doable, but is definitely hard. It weighs on you and your family. If you have young kids, you miss them. I found that the best way to minimize time sitting in the car in traffic was to leave home at 5:30am and arrive at work by about 6:45am. I would then leave work atound 6:30pm or later and my commute home could be under 1.5 hours. So, if you're willing to go in early and work some longer days, then do it as the cost of living is great in the Corona area.

Look at houses in Eastvale. Its a good area. Close to the 60 which you can take in to LA.

All kidding aside i dug living in norco hills sweet area and eastvale was ok, freeway traffic was the least of my worries the 1.8 tax rate, huge electric bills in the summer, wearing cars out, big fuel bills and maint would be more of a concern now that i been there done that. If i worked out there i see no problem living there. well the mexicans but they have them everywhere now, even the beach!

Well I've got a few co workers that from Irvine have been going up jamboree to where it dead ends, I think Santiago Canyon rd? Then turning right, going to Cannon st(which turns into Imperial) going through Anaheim Hills.. to get to the 91E, where they exit Green River. Seems like alot of work, lol, but they keep telling me its not that bad, because they know I've looked at townhomes before off Green River. Some very nice neighborhoods over there.:thumbsup

Going that way on the Canyon road you have to get on the 91 right where the 241 dumps into the 91. That Canyon Rd. can get backed up faaaaar with all the other peeps with the same idea. Getting off at Green River cuz you lived right there near the exit would not be that bad. It's only like 5 miles from the last exit in Anheim HIlls/Yorba. Just stick to the right and it flows better going under the 241 interchange.
