Wow.....that August 1976 Powerboat is a golden oldie. I shot that cover 40 years ago heading up the I-5 grapevine with Larry and the War Eagle crew. Still an even pretty good cover photo today.

Funny - I remember that HB issue like it was yesterday, only because of the Donzi article though. It was the first time I'd ever heard of that mfg. To this day, when I see a Donzi I think of that article and the pretty lady w/the long blonde hair LOL

The pretty lady with the long blond hair in the Donzi article/cover was Kathy Genth, daughter of Dick Genth, who at the time was the president of Donzi. Dick was also president of four or five other high performance boat companies (like Bertram, Wellcraft, etc.) in Florida during the 70s, 80s and 90s. Kathy ran the Donzi Duds apparel portion of the company.
