Hey Bones, any leads on a 78-87 El Camino that you know of?
Thanks
NSF
Been looking around for a beater for my youngest. Used to be cheap and everywhere in SoCal. No so much anymore, and not many around here :(

Or

And some other "done" ones.

The blue one is a pretty stout 505 big block. Roll on the throttle in third and it starts lighting the tires. The silver one is just a mild 396-402. Both are efi and manual trans. Silver has a 5- speed tremec and the other Is a m-22. It needs an overdrive though. The driving experience between the two is pretty night and day.

Big block 505 + M22 = Barely Controlled Mayhem

Hell yeah.

Nice work concealing the heater and A/C lines. The accessory drive casting is a cool piece.
Holley makes that. A nice piece that look’s factory instead of bling bling

FYI::: Really like to get one with a modern day LS drive train in it (at least an LS2) and has to have a/c and mated to a modern tranny also. Jsut missed one in Phoenix this week end, owner say it went for $30K at Mecum Auction but I couldnt make it down there :(

We did a frame off on a one owner Elcamimo. erod ls3, 4l60e, new 12 bolt Wilwoods. Came out super nice. And then he moved to Oregon so the erod was a waste.

I like it. I'm not a fan of a half dozen polished billet pulleys and idlers along with polished brackets on an engine, so this minimization by Holley is a well thought out alternative.

That piece, along with black braided coolant, accessory hoses, and fittings, can produce a measured look of power and competent design without the distraction of shiny bits everywhere that need constant attention to look decent.

Thats what the guy with blue chevelle plan was. He had the billet front drive on it, and didn't like it.

I’ll take the blue Chevelle all day especially if it’s a 138 car like the lower trim indicates.
