I would say slim as I've emailed and contacted Horizon multiple times to get a quote and cant even get an answer back... Maybe you have to have an "In" to even buy one?

They gave me those same prices at the boat show and told me they probably wouldn't take orders until June.

Makes sense but it would be nice to get a response from them. Im souring on the whole thing the longer it takes them to get back to me.

I didn't get a real clear reason why, but some of the comments were to get 3 or 4 finished, do some testing, make some adjustments or improvements and then boat 5 be the first real for sale production boat and orders opened.

If they are trying to build more hype, I kinda feel like they lost some steam. Its gone pretty quiet since shortly after the boat show but who knows.

Hey Magic fans.... I'm enjoying following the third rebirth [perhaps 4th] of Magic Speedboats and can tell there are others of us on this site anticipating their launch. Got a question.... I've got a cherry '06 Magic Wizard 29'.... its got a telescoping stern light pole that needs replacing. My mechanic can't locate a solution. I noticed on Dave's pictures of the new Magic that they've got some wild looking stern light but it doesn't appear to telescope down into the hull like previous versions did. Any thoughts on a solution for us older model owners.... mechanic is searching online now.... Thanks in advance guys.

They stopped making those a long time ago. They do make a version that is a manual pull up / push down deal but it sucks as well.

Boat whipz makes an adapter that covers the hole and allows you to run one of their products.

I Purchased the adapter plate from boatwhipz $45 and bought a perko light base $20 (amazon) and adjustable height pole light on e-bay $15. Install takes about 15 minutes.

Three weeks and counting...... can't find any noise on the Magic Powerboats comeback. Dave, hope your health is improving and you're up and about ole sport.

I heard they are having some delays as they had a last minute change order on their first one to add a wheel chair ramp for some online boating forum guy...

The first one was at the Havasu Boatshow.. it needed some changes, all which were completed and the boat was sold. Preston didn’t really want a lot of press on it because he has several more in production that he wanted to feature.

I haven’t seen the newer ones yet but will ask him about it tomorrow, and if I can get some pics of one later this week.

not this time. Creating a handicap accessible boat is cool. I think its great if Horizon made this possible. You know, your in chair right now sort of.
Magic did one years ago. It had a larger captains chair that was removable for a wheel chair. The trailer had a lift as well.

Ultra built one years ago for a wounded warrior deal that was pretty cool.


That said the delayed reports on this thread aren’t because of this is what I was saying.

Even if its only 5%, that $10k for each boat they sell! I'd take 5% all day. Once you add in the financing, add-ons, accesories, services, extended warranties, etc., that figure could easily double.

Can't be the best when you actually have to buy and stock inventory and sit on millions worth of inventory. Maybe soon enough Forest Gump Marine will get them to commit to some inventory stock. Then they will have some real fun. [emoji6]
