Umm did I miss something? Where are your outboards hanging off the back of that thing? Did you get another DCB?

Your wife is a lot cooler than mine. That’s all I have to say about that.

Definitely more beefier.

If you have an extension box you need this shaft from imco. I believe Fred at imco said if you have the newer XR shaft it would work. It didnt for me.
Part number 01-3549

Wasn’t too bad. Was more frustrating trying to find the special tools.Damn. Guess we know who to call when our shit breaks and we want it fixed quick now. How bad was it?
I need it to be winter.ChrisV does not f--k around!
That's lame. Take it back?OCD is a problem and I hate myself sometimes for it.
I was drinking coffee and looking at the back of the boat. Noticed the cavitation plate is crooked. We’ll shit View attachment 1430174 View attachment 1430175 View attachment 1430176 View attachment 1430177
They said it’s normal. That's lame. Take it back?
Normal? No fuckin way! They said it’s normal.
Paying 15k for a chunk of aluminum you’ll expect it to be straight.
Yea that’s some straight up bullshit, cannot believe they didn’t automatically step up to fix it.They said it’s normal.

There’s no way that’s normal. Plenty of my friends have scx and not a single one of theirs looks like that. I agree with 02howard. Can’t believe they didn’t step up. Especially with how expensive it is for that upper. Hopefully it’s only looks and doesn’t affect the boat at all. They said it’s normal.

If its "normal", then they should have no problem exchanging it for a straight oneThey said it’s normal.

Thanks man. Hoepfully i get a little roost.Big difference from the first one glad they took care of you on that. I have heard in the past that the SCX sits back a little further and tends to put the drive in the water a little deeper than the Bravo so maybe you will not need the 1" spacer. Great job always following.
I'm digging your helpers!Got the new upper. Straight and not slanted like my eyes.
Picked up some drain plugs for the Mach 22.
Just waiting for the lower now. View attachment 1431018 View attachment 1431019 View attachment 1431020 View attachment 1431021

With 230 hrs on the boat who knows when the drive was last rebuilt. I also wasn't easy on it this summer. Hopefully it last a while... hopefullySooo, what the heck happened that caused that?
Not being a stern drive guy, I often hear you gotta go easy on the drive out of the hole If you want it to last. Is this what happens if you don’t?
BTW, not beating up on @ChrisV, just trying to learn a little. Props to him for sharing the gory details.
Everything blows up. The SCX should be better in your vector. Less weight.remember when I posted big boy toys = big boy repairs, and so many said mehhhhh reliable set up. Always is UNTIL it’s not, lol
ordered my Scx and 1:35 gears today, ouch
So it’s not for sale? Are you done for the season?New drive is badass. I hated this boat before with the XR drive. It would porpoise like crazy if I didn’t add a lot of trim to the tabs. Which was sketch cause if I forget to put them up while turning it could be bad. Now it barely porpoise. Probably taking the 1” spacer out is the reason.
