The 100's of speed tire's he has are for sale to the aftermarket, not for production line in Texas. I'm starting to find the information in the shows contradictory and his statements not completely clear.

Robby needs to shit or get off the pot! He needs to make a delivery commitment and stick to it. Doesn't matter if it's next week or six months from now. Announcement for start of production IMHO needs to happen sooner than later!

Then Conner told me I need to call Ginger, I did that, and sent her an email, she never got back to me, so I'm just gonna wait until they call they me again to pay for them. Worst case scenario, they don't all show up on the car. But, I'm not sending them anymore money at this point.

I'm not sure, but the fact that robby talked about improving it insinuates that there's something wrong with it. This is what I asked about 10 pointless pages ago, is Robby letting perfect be the enemy of good and is he going to tinker himself out of business if people start getting pissed and wanting to pull orders?

The only thing anyone has had to pay besides the deposit is any accessories that they added to the build.

Legally you can’t be asked to pay remaining portion until delivery day, or a couple days prior to delivery but the unit is completed. Financed units can start the financing process 30 days out. If car is not delivered by day 31, finance paperwork has to start over. Smart enough folks are making sure speed does not go down that route. Deposits and pay in full accessories at order are 100% legal.

yeah there's definitely always going to be further development, you just don't normally think about the further development happening prior to you even receiving your stuff (which I'm sure happens all the time, no doubt polaris was working on the xp1k before the 900 hit customers hands)

You are right, it happens right under your nose. Running design and parts changes happen all the time on everything.

Sometimes the original parts are "better" and the change is made because it saves a couple bucks. I don't think that is the case here though.

They talked about the crank changes back in October. They made some changes to the oiling system once they drove the preproduction cars. If you are making a change to a crankshaft, it is probably for a good reason and was probably to address those oiling concerns.

I paid the deposits and 11k in accessories x2 for two cars. The two seater I have hasn’t been configured too much yet. So they have about 30k of mine
