Master #35 I should get 1 of the 50 first made if they are good to go. Maybe need to raise my selling pricešŸ’°. I canā€™t ride it in summer in AZ anyway unless itā€™s night ridesšŸŗ

After thinking it over, I've come to the conclusion that I still have nothing of value to add to this thread.

Come on man! Don't sell yourself short.
There is some great material in this thread.

This thread is full of conjecture, so why not add some more :).

But what you are suggesting is not what RG said and not what was posted here.

Could they have problems that take time to resolve, sure.

I donā€™t think I was suggesting anything lol I was just simply giving my 02. Cents. Right now everything is taking time to get, especially off road parts. So all Iā€™m saying is if the first 50 go smooth it will probably take time to get parts rocking for the next group of cars. Itā€™s interestIng to see how it all comes together. I really donā€™t care if it takes 2 weeks or 2 years šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

Gotta love your optimism.šŸ‘

If you're not going to get $80K, you might as well not get $95K. šŸ˜
Good idea, if it doesnā€™t sell before I pick it up , price will go to $95K when I buy it. All these aftermarket companies like shock therapy, etc will need a car to make aftermarket parts or a race team will need it. Early car they could get parts designed and manufactured ahead of the deliveries.

So your telling me a company like shock therapy is going to pay 100k for your #35 car so they can design products?

Couple flaws here. This car is supposed to be perfect out of the box no aftermarket needed. Next, why would ST over pay for a car to sell products on. They would never recoup that cost. Take them a while at least. Usually customers will donate a car to a company like ST and get products for free or heavily discounted and ST gets to r and D it.

Race team is more likely for a simple of spare parts/prerunner. Being that likely parts will not be available right away I could see a team buying a 2nd/3rd car for this reason but not at 95k.

Race teams will not jump ship super easy for that reason. There will be some but heavy majority will not jump ship.

Good luck

So was there any update today? I donā€™t have any social media accounts and didnā€™t find anything on YouTube.

There is always a write off when it comes to business! So itā€™s not always clear cut.

SEMA is an example ! Cars get built out for big bucks then get sold off fairly cheap compared to actual build cost

there is also design Patents for a brand new product! Who knows what is planned. If you can get car #35 NOW instead of #350 or #500 a month or 2 later your ahead of the game for design

Swung by our Polaris Dealer Wednesday and they are getting 6 Rzr Pro R's.
"All have deposits, all are priced at over $51K OTD stock.
Polaris just announced a price increase" -
Said the sales manager.

Iā€™m not Carl but if I get my first one before desert storm It will be in the rdp booth for sale. I have no illusions of 95k though.. lol

I was thinking 65 would be the number. Between inflation and what used shots going for thatā€™s realistic. I am seeing used can and go in the 55-65 range..

New and built to the hilt? With all the options.

ā€œPolaris shout step in and not allow this!!!ā€ - Speed Whiners
While I get your point, I see it a bit differently. Whoever us selling that, went FULL out of pocket and is selling a finished and complete machine.

I have no issue with profit, just profiteering from a spot in line. Either way, no dog in this particular fight. As a letter of fact, Iā€™ve decided my 2015 XP4 is fine for our needs. Iā€™ve never broke it, donā€™t and wonā€™t push it beyond its capabilities. Iā€™m not an off road racer.

Thatā€™s why I bought the car I bought it fits all the needs for my family! I donā€™t need to push the car even close to its potential with my family in it.

You are aware that appears to be a dealer selling that right?

As long as you understand my point, it is fine. People selling their allocations is as old as the allocation system itself. As far as full out of pocket, those with allocation took the risk by sending money in on an idea. With risk can come reward now that we are not far out.

The car you have is a great car and cheap to maintain.. My main reason for wanting this one is the safety aspect. Taller doors, factory nets, factory 5 point harness, containment style seats, and strong cage.

Dealer or Private, they bought it, prepped it and itā€™s a tangible item you can throw down your money and take home. Profiteering on your friends or associates strictly because there is opportunity, strikes me as harsh.

But Iā€™m obviously in the minority.

Donā€™t take my comments wrong, I donā€™t have a less favorable opinion of you for doing so, itā€™s just not for me.

There was a guy in my hunting universe that would find deals that he got to hunt for free if he got 4 guys to go. I went on one to Australia. I paid what I though was right. There was obviously some meat left on the bone since he got to go for nothing. He used his peer group to go for free.

Conversely, I book for a guy in Brazil. If I fill the charter, (eight guys) I go for free. I have never taken a free trip. I do the math, share the savings for the whole group.

So the same thing can be said for the owner of the dealer I suppose then? He is profiting from selling cars at a profit with a huge markup at the expense of the consumer, which also seems harsh.

Itā€™s funny, if we replaced Speed UTV/Polaris RZR with a dealer selling a used 22 Ford Raptor in this conversation, the greedy dealer becomes the enemy, adding ADMs to sell trucks and take advantage of the consumer....

You are aware people buy digital currency that does not exist, NFTs that donā€™t exist and ā€œlandā€ in digital worlds that donā€™t exist.

My issue with your position (this also has nothing to do with you personally) is that it assumes a buyer is stupid. The buyer knows what they will be getting in this case by buying a spot - A new car with a warranty. This is better in my opinion than buying a used vehicle from a dealer, but that is another conversation.

Iā€™m not selling my spot, Iā€™m selling the car when I get it. I will be doing the prep and assembly of the aftermarket parts I have for it. I took the risk buying it at a reduced cost, I will have done the prep.

When you sell a house, you donā€™t sell it for a modest profit that is equitable for the buyer, you sell it for what the market will bear. That is the same case here.

Of course it is.

Take millions in deposits on promises of "someday" and he better be able to build one actual badass car. šŸ˜

It's the next 14,999 that count.
Gotta start somewhere.
