21 Rayson Craft Gn project boat

Well I scrapped my old El Cid project for now and bought this boat earlier this year:smackhead. Bought from an old racer as well. So far from what I've gathered the bottom was built by Rudy and the deck by Johny Ray, and the bottom done by a guy of the last name Anderson. Never rigged never been in the water. So I probably should have started this earlier but you know how that goes:grumble:. I bought this boat with intention of racing the enduro with it and spanking the shit outta the gn seasoned verteran boys but I won't mention any names .:deadhorse:..and if all possible going out later when funds permit maybe get out there and give this a shot on some of the local races. So here is my project and where I am at, at this point. Having a great time with the build and with alot of help from some great guys!

Well I'm definitely no expert but most will say the boat will turn left better running off the front of the crankshaft because of the engines rotation. But there's been quite a few out there that did just fine running off the flywheel.

Exactly. Was gonna change the setup (meaning the motor, gears, prop) but was told by Rankin, and the Neanderthal Ben to leave it and run it. So when the pros speak I just sit and listen. We will see how it does after assembly and if need be it will get changed. But they seem to think it will work fine. Another reason I set it up this way is due to watching them run the last few years and I decided I liked the way Lances deal worked the best. The My pleasure boat.

Keep it driven off the flywheel. You can drive it deeper into the corner that way. If you can watch a video of Lance 790 and Devine 47 racing each other it shows the strengths of each setup.

Trailer was built by Danny at competitive trailer in Belflower. Thanks:thumbsup. Dave just tell your buddy to buy my Schiada and drop the coin into it and he could have it just the way he want's it color and all

andy you should come by my pad and take measurements to make it wright because my gn 550 is set up running a two speed and it handles like a dream.you can have those schiadas my 21 rayson is way better than my 21 schaida for having fun and hauling asssss....see ya at the river jimmy

Shit Jimmy...I ran out of the green....Also waiting for some parts to come in to finish the last bit of rigging before I pull everything and send it off to the pol/ano.....Did you sell your 21?

Since everyone likes the trailer and I'm good with it, Danny at competitive got me for 4,500 to build that trailer minus the wheels and fenders, so with that said I'm very happy with the product he built for me and it came out way nicer than expected for a race boat. But if you wanted a show trailer, it will probably cost u double what I got in mine and I would have it done by someone else. Not that Danny could not build you a show trailer like others I just think you better specifiy every detail

I hope to one day, but as for now it's just gonna be for the enduro and we will see after that, the plan is to go race with them but time and funds will determine that. :thumbsup

Boat may have never been fully rigged but Rush did the underwater gear and set the vdrive ,rudder stuffing box ,shaft log and it had plates on it .A kid named Kenny had the work done on it he still owned it when you bought it,good thing Mark didnt ebay that V drive and plate....I watched Kenny work on it for years glad to see it will be finished the orange looks killer.
