Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Technologies, Northrop Grumman?

Anyone care to comment?
I have LMT and Raytheon.....I have had them for a while in my long term group

LMT missed earnings which caused an ass whuppin yesterday. They say they have a backlog of 176B in orders.

Raytheon.....earnings were up and the stock went up. They say they have a backlog of 200B in orders

I (WE) will continue to hold. The world is still on fire so the defense contractors should be well positioned.

Thats all I got and I do not know who reaps the benefits of building an iron dome if it moves forward

Damn… real quick research.
LMT
has a 52 week high of 614…
Current PE of 20 ish…

Currently trading at $455,

In defense sector which should see influx of Trump spending $$$…
If it rose 33% from today that would put it back at $605ish…
2.6% dividend
hmmmm…. it has me very interested in it.
Limited downside due to reasons its priced where it is, with 33% upside potential in 12-18 months.

I might start staging my way into it… I have mentioned on one of the threads I was looking for defense sector buying opportunity.

Anyway, thats my quick take on it. Will need to dig deeper in order to spend $$$ on it.

52 week high of 314
Trading at $251 now
PEof 19ish
Dividend of 2.1

it needs 25% upside to reach its 52 week high.

Initial thoughts compared to LMT…
GD is a better value based on PE Ratio, but it has lower upside potential of 25% to hit 52 week high, as to where LMT has 33% upside to the same point. But LMT has 25% higher dividend at 2.6%…

At this stage, I still feel LMT is better buy…. But my $$$ is still in my pocket. I have not made any decisions.

Again, is quick reseach… not the dig in deep details…

Please share your thoughts on why one is better than the other. ????

There is a company working on EMP for iron dome type defense.
Using million dollar missles to shoot down $1000 drones is not sustainable.
Seems to me one of the principles is from pltr and it uses ai to intersept and target drones. I have to go back review my notes on the company.

I wasn’t knocking LMT or any other for that matter, but I like to look for value. When the global shit storms start heating up, so will all of these defense industrials.

I think they’re all good, but not what I look at for dividend yields.

It’s pltr. I watched the interview discussing the tech. Very impressive. I've got a couple of grand on the sidelines waiting for a dip.

I have outlined my investing strategys on the past on other similar threads.

I like to figure out which sectors, have the best chance of success over a period of time.
So a new president… clues us in that defense sector has a good chance of success over the next few years…
So, in my strategy.. what is the best options in that sector….

I try to get the best stock I can for each sector that I think has potential….

For defense, our candidates are LMT and GD… But I typically like to narrow down the top four, then deeper dive analysis on figuring out which one I think has the best chance of success. Then I stage my way into that position/holding/investment.

I really admire they way you go about the research.

I always give your financial posts the credibility that is well deserved.

Usually the only thing missing is what the CEO had for breakfast. lol

You only get this smart, buy learning from your many many mistakes. Aka Stupid tax… I have paid my fair share over the years.

So I do my best to share what I do, but also why I do it… hopefully preventing others from making expensive mistakes.

I started following the Pelosi trades and they are 100% winners. I saw that she bought VST a few days ago and it went up immediately. Even yesterday, I was looking at it and I thought I was too late to jump in. Well, its still going!

Do you think Pelosi is doing the pump and dump or do you think it’s the countless YouTuber’s/content creators promoting her trades?

Does is matter if you lose 25% or more of your investment… to me… Its both for various reasons.

I only buy, when I have done my research, created an investment plan for that purchase.

If investing was easy, everyone would be stupid rich billionaires.
Its not easy, it takes time, patience, lots of research and some luck.
If you try to take short cuts, you will learn some lessons the hard way.

If you truly want to follow wallstreet.
Start following the successfull fund managers. Qtrly they show the holdings in their funds. Determine what was added… compare that to the other fund managers. When you see a pattern of 3 out of 10 are creating a position on the new stock of XYZ… Then do you research on XYZ… determine if its something your willing to risk $$$ on.

Great point. I guess it really doesn’t matter who’s doing it. I appreciate your insight.

The USA auto and truck industry is eventually going to have to turn to Elon to compete.

That and his power generation, space, cab company.
Long hold.

Here is an analogy for those of you that cannot fly a plane.

With no knowledge whatsoever, would you attempt to fly a commercial aircraft? Why. It’s because you realize that would be absolutely crazy.

You need to look at the stock market, the same way as above. The more you know, the more successful you are likely to be.

Just remember, you can loose a lot of money real quick, for too many reasons to list. Education is an investment into yourself.

I don’t use stock brokers. Others might, but I once lost 400k in 1 day with my Bear Sterns personal wealth manager. I paid a huge Stupid Tax. Never again. Btw, in today’s dollars, it was like loosing several million overnight. I couldn’t sleep for weeks. I rather not get into the details.

Shits keeping me awake tonight. Its gonna be nasty tommorow.
Well....did you stay awake all night.....lol

Just looked at all my stocks and most are down pre-market.......

If I had cash on the sidelines about late morning might be a good time to buy in to some good stocks. Initially this will really rock stocks. This is a major shot across the bow to even playing fields.

Its all just a guess with nothing backing it up on my end.

I see NVDA is down another 3-4% pre-market as well. Down to about $115.....That should be a good entry point, right?

It all moves so fast.......Place your bets gentlemen!

Diversify......diversify.....DIVERSIFY!

:)
