I’m not saying we won.. we dominated.. we actually lapped my oldest daughter.. lol. Which is pretty hard to do when all the karts are the same speed.

What park is that? We're headed to St Anthony's in September and may want to stop in for the day.

It's a perfect stopping point on the way to St. Anthony's.

I've done it twice, and the pull though spots make life Real easy. 👍🏼

As others have said do it now with the kids or it's gone in a heartbeat.
Great parenting there Dave/Stacy...

Ok now we are in the thick of it..

Photo dumps from the lagoon!

So as it turns out you don’t even have to pay an entrance fee to this place.. you buy the tickets for all the rides.

A lot of families just show up and bring ezups and coolers and hang out for the day. They have these giant terraces for shade that anyone is welcome to use.

You can also bring your own beer / alcohol into the park if you want.. ??

This place really is the best!! Love me some Lagoon!

You have to remember this place is over 130 years old. They have antique stuff everywhere including old log cabins that are from the late 1800’s that I’d assume are original?

They have an old town with ice cream shops etc.. but also crazy cool museum pieces.. which we will get into.

the peacocks everywhere are awesome

The second photo is just UTAH.. I saw a group of young boys surrounding one of the birds.. I just kind of assumed they were gonna fuck with it or be mean..

They ended up hand feeding it and taking pics with it. I was pleasantly surprised..

Kinda shitty pics because all of the bars but the zoo was pretty cool.. you take a steam powered train and it takes you by all the animals.

Lions, Siberian tigers, kangaroos, all kinds of things you wouldn’t expect to see at an amusement park.

Pics are a little out of order because of airdrop etc.. but pics from lagoon.

Place is incredible.. and I wouldn’t set my kids loose in Disneyland if you paid me.. I’d stay in this Rv park and send them out everyday at this place.. completely safe and family oriented.

So in a bizarre twist of fate I was getting ready to leave and heard “what the f are you doing here?” Our very own @TVMNick lives close by and was there with his family for the day..

Then I no sooner made it back to the motorhome and heard “you riverdave?” And @McKay comes walking up..

Both m37 owners.. well McKay sold his recently.. but kinda cool to run into some boaters while we are way up here.

Side note is 2:00 am here or there about and im
Freezing my ass off. Nice change of pace from
havasu where literally everything is melting right now. Lol

We are now in lava hot springs with a small rapid creek running about ten feet from the motorhome.. no AC anymore just windows open and the sound of the water!

Looks like a blast! When you get a chance can you post your itinerary so I can research and plan a trip with my grandkid. Just a simple list of stops. Thanks

Thats what i thought. There are some other parameters i believe and i know in canada there “required”

Never used one either towing an f-150 but one time i could have used it. 😂

Was wild running into you and your family up in my neck of the woods! Awesome getting to catch up for a minute and seeing you guys, Lagoon has really stepped it up over the last few years and is the best its ever been. If you guys come up again next year you will have to let me know and we will bring the crew over and camp with you guys!

Life outside the craziness of SoCal or Havazoo can be a completely different experience. Good times! That place reminds me of old Elitch Gardens theme park from back in the day in Denver while I was growing up.

Hi Pat I will try and get a picture of it today when Stacy gets off the phone!

In the meantime here are links to a couple other Rv trips we did.. we do large loops going as far west as we can, and then do a loop a little further east then further east etc..

Vacation #1
Sand hollow, lagoon, Yellowstone and beyond

Vacation #2 mammoth, Tahoe and beyond

There has been a few smaller trips like one week long to discovery bay etc..

Vacation number 3 is this years and this is the itinerary.. bear in mind these are loose and we may change things on the fly.

Not sure if your travels will take you back down through Utah or not, but if they do check out the Browning Firearms Museum in Ogden, UT.

Also, if this trip is going to take you over to Cody, WY the Buffalo Bill Center of the West has one of the most complete firearms museums in the US.

Edit to add: Poor timing of my post now that I see your itinerary above. Have a great trip!

I gotta admit I really really like UTAH! Might have to do some shorter trips and check it out!

Have always said it's the only other state I will entertain living in besides AZ. As long as you don't mind having LDS neighbors, it's great up there. We are going to Heber City for a family reunion the first week of August.

I really think you would enjoy driving the length of HWY89 through Utah....look at it on a map

I’d like to do that! Stacy kinda sets up the reservations etc and we can vary a little by staying an extra day or driving twice as long one day etc.. but route changes are difficult.

If 89 goes through the mountains I’d rather do that not in a motorhome towing..

Yep a lot better scenery. We took it from kanab and dropped back to 115 in Provo. Beautiful drive. Pulled 40 5th wheel. No big grades I remember.

The water park is still something we haven’t done.. but it’s big and it’s bad ass..

I’d like to plan a week long trip here.. maybe an rdp Rv trip next summer?

How about a trip to St. Anthony's next summer? 🤔

There would be a few inmates here that would be interested I'm sure.

We are in spot 37.. I wouldn’t recommend this spot if staying at this koa.. we are right next to the bridge to cross the river so everyone walks right in front of your campsite. Upside is there is a little tiny beach deal and the bridge has ropes under it.. so the kids dig it..

no......mainly it goes through wide valley areas....at the southern end near Kanab it's really nice. Lookup towns of Alton, Glendale, Orderville

I don't remember any steep windy areas if you drove up Hwy 14 east of Cedar that's steep and windy

i can help you with this when you get back. I have done a few in the bottom half of the state and it is some of my favorite places to go.

Late night lava springs.. lol

The four beers is how long it took to get the pizza to go. Nothing happens fast out here. Took like an hour?

Fire pit drinks.. creek awesome. Might put my feet in the hot springs later. There’s one that sheds into the river about 30’ from our campsite.
