Saw you guys cruisin around too. What ended up happening to your boat?

Well I thought it was the trans coupler when I got the boat home found that the trans cooler lines had came loose.
how that happened I have no idea . oh well better then pulling the motor I guess.

When you repower are you going to switch over to a bravo? If so the board has a lot of peoplle that have hook ups on parts etc..

Thanks for the welcome Dave, that would be a big NO on the brovo I will be switching over to a Casale/Th400 . And the power will be a 540ci TT with the help/guidence of the renowned Carson Brummet. I will have to post some pic's in the Schiada project section. By the way great site......and not just the Schiada sections

Standard 525/ XR Stern Pckg...We experimented with a delta pad which seems to work better in smooth water without sacrificing the ride in rough water. Solid 78 all day! I think Lee produced 3 or 4 boats with the same colors after that boat show.

Dave this is one of the three Schiada's I'm bringing to the regotta. The boat is just awsome in person. However the owner has been known to drink a beer, stand up to his waist in the river while B.S.ing with friends and wearing a smile all day! I don't think he's gonna fit in!

525 We have her running at 84mph, high X with a 5 blade prop. Prop shaft is only about 1 1/2 to 2" below the keel. Here is a few more pics

That boat was fast. I saw Haig pulling Danny Van deVen (SP?) in Catalina about 1994? and they were flying. That boat was several feet out of the water all the time and so was Danny. After the race everyone on our team agreed it was the craziest/best thing we'd seen in the race. Actually, it was the gutsiest thing I ever saw in Catalina. I think that boat was also on the cover of Hot boat? Where they airbrushed a yellow hat on Haig's bald head?
Sat in a lane next to him at a start of a race and was really surprised how he wound up the engine before putting it in gear at the start.

What you are calling a gay pride target was a popular thing back in the 70s/80s. I can't remember the guys name any longer but his Schiada Goosebumps had a similar target. He used to have a trailer at Echo. It was the last Schiada to win Catalina I think. And had about the worst stress cracks I ever saw on a Schiada. Gene Welter's race boat from the 90s had that target too. No offense but I kinda think it is a classic look.

I bought the rainbow boat from Dave Chandler's stepmom after his dad passed on. I'm suprised it was a ski race boat as it has 29 gears in a C-500? Our red one has 47's, it was originally Howard Haig's ski race boat, we bought from John Cummings.

I sold this (a moment of pathetic weakness) to a buddy who now lives in North Carolina. He's a big hit on Lake Wylie because the NC Tar Heels school colors are baby blue and white. It's rigged with a 350 and Alpha, and it's name is Elvis. Sweet boat, but ready for a complete re-fit.
