If I leave my daughters house before the baby comes I might as well just keep on driving until I hit Brazil...

Nice new rig, Steve... I want a ride at DS for sure!:thumbsup:thumbsup
You gonna be out there Bob?
Congrats on your new boat Steve it looks real nice.
how do you like it .
I like it but not as much as my first 22' Schiada V Drive. I'm glad that I got the I/O in this one so I can go up river easier but I don't like the trim controls. I will have to change them when I get time. I don't think that it rides as good as the v drive did either. Could be my broken back talking back to me as well as a lot of years since the first one...
Steve
Sorry to say that boat won't ride like a v-drive no matter what you do. It is a good boat and the outdrives give a lot of flexibility, are MUCH easier to maneuver at slow speed, go faster with less horsepower (to a point) but don't have as solid of ride or cut through the water the same way. Oh we have one of each a 22' outdrive a 21' V-drive and had a '73 22' V-drive.
Enjoy that ride and the new grandchild too!!
Looks sweet (for a Jet)
Steve
yeah it aint too bad. Did 78 on gps burning 87 octane with a 5.3L smallblock
Our new to us, 1980--20' with a 200 merc. Has been in storage for a few years. Maybe someone knows the history.
I just picked up a 20' as well! :thumbsup Any more pics of that transom assembly?

The jack plate is nice. What would be the difference from the standard stationary jack with the trim on the motor to having a jack trim and motor trim? If that made sense. My Schiada, I am using it just for skiing and cruising. I have plans on doing other things to it once I have my CP motor back together and running. Never had an OB. Spent 5 days at San Antonio and love it. skies great, rides nice and doesn't use to much fuel.
You then can trim the angle of the propeller and raise it vertically as well. It allows you to turn a larger propeller as well as higher pitch. Also raising the lower unit out of the water causes less drag. For skiing you can lower the motor so you don't have any cavitation and once your done skiing raise it up for optimum speed and efficiency. Basically the best upgrade you can make for an outboard :thumbsup:thumbsup
Congrats Justin!, lets see some pics of yours
With the passing of my father I inherited his 21 RC.
