Yes, the slower classes can usually get 2-3 runs down the track on a tank of gas. Not sure where the turn-out was but most 1/4 mile tracks pull a k-rail at the 1320 and have them use it to turn out.

Every junior race we competed in over a 12 year span had minimum one and often 2 track personnel at the top end to help direct traffic to the turn-out. They also give signals to kids that are going to fast and alert parents when kids are mis-behaving on the top end.
