You just have to mount it properly at the outset. If you run your prop shaft dead even with the keel you mount the Porta mid stroke with that. Then you get all that extra lift. Now if you are still working through various set up issues I totally agree with you if you are trying to squeeze out...

Find a Laveycraft XCS. The dual step makes it very fast. I believe there was a MCOB XCS for sale which are rare.
