I have issues with the plexiglas wind deflectors falling/going down at higher speeds, 60+. I have tightened to a point where they are tough to lower or raise by hand without feeling like the deflector themselves may break and the issue is still there. This gets even worse as the temperature outside changes and the plastic heats or cools.
I was thinking to have a set machined out of aluminum with o-rings grooved into the inside of the clamp where it mates to the stainless grab bar and thumb screws on the underside of one side of the clamp to allow for loosening and tighten as needed. Thoughts? Any better ideas for a fix?
Any machinists that would be willing to take this on for a reasonable price?
Any others out there with the same issue that would want a set?
Thanks,
J
