I took these photos from my cousin’s Duffy when this boat was docked near her home on Linda Isle NPB CA. This is the 144’ Bad Company. Tuna and sailfish are not their usual targets. It’s billfish, marlin, striped, black and blue. This is a big boat. But it is built to fish and it can maneuver...
Have a buddy who recently sold in LHC and bought a home in Sugar Loaf Key, adjacent to KW. He and his wife are there and posting the Hurricane Parties are going off in full force.
When it comes to helo ops, believe those are typically conducted on support vessels and not on the sportfishers. Although locally, Hsieh jumps from his helo and swims over to one of his sportfishers. Believe he did that this weekend during the War Hero’s on Water tournament for severely wounded...
That sportfisher is big. Wonder how much it will actually fish? Anthony Hsieh’s 144’ Trinity, Bad Company, was once the largest sportfisher in the world. It is currently a part of Anthony’s world wide fishing adventure. It is not for sale.
We launched at the Riviera 2 weekends ago. Mostly because it was well protected from the wind blowing out of the south that day. Even with the major PWC event going on, it was an easy in and easy out. Tow vehicle drivers and boat operators seemed all well experienced.
Cattail Cove is pretty mellow. Although, there’s limited dock space for checking on things after you launch. Never seen any DB checks conducted there. Riviera is very nice and well laid out. It is often used by the larger boats.
Met and talked with Gina Lollobrigida for a while when she was in her early 40s. Unbelievable lady. Seriously, a woman with that level is beauty is almost surreal.
When they used to have the PGA tournament at La Costa, a single buddy of mine went there to pick up chicks. He had learned those tournament were often dripping with hot babes. But, not on this occasion. So, he went to the bar and sat next to an older guy. And they immediately started talking...
While waiting for a flight at the NOLA airport, The Fonz sat next to me. We talked for about 10 minutes. Recall it was mostly about boats and boating. Nice guy.
Mackerel- Had a very good friend who once ran the 1/2 day boat out of O’side CA. He was one of those guys who was very intense about anything he did. But, at that time he was at least 75 lbs overweight. So, he got the idea of eating a fresh mackerel every day to loose weight. It was probably...
