With the windshield on doesn’t matter outside temps. The issue is they have an oil heat exchanger tied into the radiator.. water gets hot, oil gets hot, water gets hotter, oil gets hotter.. You by pass that and put a legit oil cooler in it and feed the radiator some air and it all goes away...
