I started getting some hardware cleaned up. Once I finish, I hope to take it to @lbhsbz to test out his chemistry set. 👍

Not too shabby considering this stuff is 37 years old. Back to scrubbing.......

STOP!!!

I can have all that striped and blasted by the time we both finish a beer....and all I have to do is turn a knob and walk away.

Quit wasting time lol.

C looks great, I am more of a road race guy and these resemble track wheels so I like it. And, it looks a bit different than everything else. may also want to mock up what those look like in a light bronze brushed color. Bronze / Gold goes well with blue.

few little gremlins have been plauging me since I got it back together. Fueling was one. Suspected it was a leak and i was right. Had a big hole in a boot.

banjo line to the turbo was leaking coolant. Got that fixed.

two other fittings are bugging me and a pig tail I'm replacing for my peace of mind.

After that i have one more issue that I haven't fully pin pointed. Either my front seal is leaking or my upper pan is leaking. Hard to tell where it's at. Going to pull the dampener and inspect. Then go from there.

For leaks like that, use dye. Pretty much all the popular auto parts stores sell the kits.

Been working on my garage. One wall all done. The other two are getting new drywall.

I ordered the dye. The pan and seal are hidden under the dampener. So I had hesitated to do a dye. I didnt think i would be able to pin it down still. I have a uv kit for coolant. So I just needed the dye. Ordered ac delco dye. We will see. Yesterday turned to an all day ordeal and I thought I was done about 2. Pig tail was not happy for whatever reason. Kept going into reduced power mode. Finally about 8 pm 2 different pig tail several connectors later we finally got it. What did it? I have 0 idea but it's working so I won't complain. It was breaking those 35s loose through the gears. Was impressive. Still more smoke than I like on the big tune at WOT off the line. But that surge and lag is gone. It scoots. I'll data log and send to the computer wiz. See if they see something or can clean it up a bit. Lower settings it's fine. But load the big 2 in and it it lays down a decent cloud on take off.

85’ of vinyl fencing. Picked up material Friday and finished this afternoon. Pretty much kicked my ass diggging post holes and hand mixing 1200 pounds of ready mix in a wheel barrow. Not to mention removing the old shit wood fence and footings. Overall happy with results. Hurts bad when you’re 56 and out of shape. 😂

I dig my post holes with a pressure washer and a shop vac now.
I actually had bought a harbor freight auger for chain link in Havasu. That was a huge failure in the rocky soil. Work perfect for this project though. Still had to open the holes up a little bigger than the 8’ auger made for the 5” square post.

I thought that rent tech took a few AMG and did them and called them Hammer. Like only ten real hammers. My brother has a clone.

From what I recall. The Renntech guy used to work for AMG back then and a few years ago restored the original Hammer

So my kid has this pop up camper trailer that they like to use when they want to get all uppity and not sleep on the ground in a tent.
It has the typical plastic molded end caps.

Well the front one got kinda used up and beat to shit so I fixed him up with an upgrade.
We laser cut a piece of #4 finish 304 stainless with pre drilled holes for sheet metal and wood screws and marker lights.
Bent a 3/4 flange across the top (covered by top cap) and 3” sides.

This will be my last project to sort out an old car, lol. Getting parts seem to take for ever lately too.
Hope to have it on the road in April. Lot of loose ends and missing key parts were when got the car last year in February.
New main wiring harness, changing from auto to manual. New colour from gold to dark sapphire blue and other stuff. I'm missing the driver side carpet in the footwell, impossible to find the colour of brown in this car, let alone in wool like the originals. Rest of the carpets are in great shape.
