Man, talk about a walk down memory Lane. If any of you were / are into the slammed Chevy / GMC trucks from 88-00 you have GOT to watch this show. Bad ass. Traders, sport truck mag, Boyd’s, chip foose ca speed and custom, bell tech , the drop shop, all the players from that time.

Shows about these dudes rebuilding the iconic baby blue and pink bel Tech concept Chevy 1500

Second is kinda background on all the cool trucks you’ll remember.

3rd about a bad ass seam build OBS and I’m pretty sure they left havasu to get to sema.

Cost $5 to buy on prime. 3 episodes about 15 minutes each. I’m sure some of you guys on here were involved in that scene since it all came out of so cal greater LA area.

Highly recommend.

I remember this one big time. Think it was the first crew dually I fell in love with. Drop shop done.

I remember driving down the 91 in Bellflower and Norwalk on the side of the freeway dealerships with the trucks on the lot. I only lived in CA for 3 years but the Bellteck trucks and the like really hit a home run for me. I bought my 98 new and had it for 18 years modifying it and enjoying the whole time. One of these years I will pick up another one to build. Maybe once my garage is finished.

Funny thing is that the wife said……”he had the same bumpers that you had.” LOL NOBODY has the same bumpers that I had. I built them myself. LOL. Look at the front and rear. They are both modified GM bumpers to meet the stupid requirements of the Honolulu CIty and County of Hawaii Recon laws. 👍

I ended up in 95 with a 93 standard cab 1500. Bell tech drop and c notched on 16” billet rims. Loved that truck. But in 98 I moved up to my dram truck. 97 crew cab dually laid 5/7 bel tech c notch drop on 17” concept neepers. Bed cover white with a purple pearl paint. Huge system. I still miss that thing. Wish I still had it.

LOL. He redid leafs so it rode level. It got stolen from bar in LB not to long after that and I bought an F250

Weren’t Budnik wheels a thing back then?
Budnick was the first two sets of wheels that i had. Then once the 20s came out on the market Intros were making a quality set at that point in the game. 👍

Does anyone have any pics or links to pics of the Traders 540SS? I cannot find any and I’ve been looking for a while.

Built this in ‘97, had 400SS plates on it due to the 10.5:1 406 under the hood. Had an extended cab S-10 with aluminum headed 406 with cowl hood before this.

Pretty cool. Just watched all 3 episodes and all me and my wife had to say is the music must have been bootlegged from a late 70’s/early 80’s low-budget sci-fi movie.

my son has a 1998 short bed std cab 5.7 4w dr a lady smacked him and damaged the right frt fender and door and did some damage to the right front wheel suspension he had redone the whole frt end shortly before, he got a Colorado 2019, but we kept the 98 and he replaced all the damaged parts on the rt frt, its a fleetside cheyenne model. and Iam telling him keep it and we should restore it. it was his first car he got when he was 16 has about 120 k miles now, anyone else think this is a good idea to keep restore

I still have my 2000 C2500 crew cab short bed, has the 5.7 in it and and its just about to turn 390,000 miles. I love the truck, last car payment I made was to Connell Chevrolet on July 31 2000 and she has done me right for 21 years. Have always wanted to lower it, but its sure noce being able to run shot over when you need to. I had a 92 and 99 Suburban as well, these cabs just fit me.

I have a 94 gmc SCSB with a 105k on it. I believe it has a 2/3 drop. The paint is ugly as hell, but it has great bones. Love the truck, but I haven't driven it since May.
