I really like this show.
The best.
I even watched 1883 … awesome too.
”But” … now with all the success and awards … does anyone else think they are milking the crap out of this ?
Geez … yeah it’s good … but geez … this has gotta be the most “dragging on “ series ever.
When are we ever gonna get to the bad guys going for the Dutton property ? EVER ?
I can get up and make 5 rum & cokes and not miss a thing …
Ok … one final rant … who else thinks the “ Rip & Beth “ relationship isn’t the biggest stretch ever … or is it the “ downer Indian wife” that is such a downer that I‘d slit my wrists if I was married to her … a bigger stretch ?
Ha ! I need to make 6th Rum & Coke .

I would disappoint Monica every chance I could if she was my wife! 😜 She's dropped a few pounds and looks too thin in my opinion.....but I still think she's a beautiful lady.

Beth is sexy as fock just because she's so damn crazy and unpredictable.

Season 5 is a commentary on a dieing way of life. Seems like there is sense of dread running through all the episodes, like there is a huge change coming and none of the characters can do anything about it. Heck, Rip has mentioned it almost every episode.

It's too bad the Jimmy story arch is done on Yellowstone. Rumor has it the character is getting his own spin off, be interesting on how Sheridan handles that since it was obvious the chicanary in Wyoming wasn't happening in Texas. Maybe it would be just a straight ranching drama of trying your best to break even.

Jimmy (Jefferson White) has been appearing on a few episodes of Chicago PD. Playing a bad guy. Looks like he will be in a movie called "God's Country" soon.

Count me in the minority; I've liked this season the best—less far-fetched murder, terrorism, and overreach from Livestock Agents. More reality of a way of life most won't ever experience. Total speculation, but I think the show realizes they have a pulpit to speak to many people, and I like the messages hidden in the undercurrent of this season. If only they would explain that in five seasons, the show takes place in three months of summer every year, Montana would see housing prices retract.

Pretty sure the President would not make two appearances in Montana in three days. That is a stretch beyond belief.

I'm also happy they paid respect to the cutting and reining horses in the last two seasons. They are the sportscar of the equine world. I'm biased because I grew up on a Cutting horse ranch.

RDP Likes MURDER and a KILL'IN.

Personally, I think they are just building up to the final episodes. After all its a 10 show season. 1923 is right behind this one.

Getting the viewers used to new faces and scenery and then blowing those faces off in episode 9-10.

I've enjoyed the 3rd 4th and 5th seasons way more than the first 2. Narratively I don't think they should have made John the governor, wondering how that is going to pay off.

For sure the ranching and cowboy points of the story are better this season.

Yea, just dumb.

I'd like them to do some more flashbacks like "Animal Kingdom" did to get some mileage out of John Dutton, but I agree on JD as Gov, puts a stopwatch in motion. Maybe spin something more on the tribe dynamic.

Yellowstone is starting to lose me.....its no longer a story with a ending, its a soap opera that has no end.

How did you picture it ending? The only possible ending I see would be the end of the ranch. As long as the ranch remains, groups will try to take it. I guess I don't want it to end because I know the only ending is a sad one from my perspective.

Hate to break the news to you all, but in the end, the tribe gets the ranch. The question is how?

If I was that "hot lawyer" chick I have the pea size Mole removed from Her cheek , and why did she put on her "skivies" last nite if she was headed for the shower
Who cares what she put on to head to the shower! Obviously they would come right back off again pretty easily! 😬 Hahahaha! I thought she was hot til she hooked up with Tweedle Dee. He is a vagina, so she must be bi. 🤣

This is Cole Hauser a few weeks ago in NYC. That’s our daughter with him. He looks more like Rip than the other non Rip/younger Hauser photo.

I guess with budget cuts, the Secret Service doesn't send an Advance Team any longer. They just show up the day of, an hour before the President. 😜😜

But that was my thought during the episode. There is no way they would be firing off rounds with the public around.

Even if public safety wasn't an issue, they wouldn't shoot the dogs where they could be caught on video doing so. It would be a public relations nightmare.

DUMB!! Worst episode ever. LOL.

What's up with Season 5 episode 6. When I select it on my TV I get 6 minutes of 3 actors sitting around the poker table? I expected to see the cattle drive.

Tonight’s episode sucked
I agree. Way too late to start a new storyline. I've seen a pattern with the writing that kind of sucks. They make these big issues out of things like Beth's bar fight and then they just go away in the next episode.

I spent the whole first episode of 1923 trying to figure out who was who in the family tree. Still don't know.

My favorite thing to do now with the show is to recognize the various shot locations.

There was a comment made during the scene when Cara Dutton was writing a letter to Spencer that confused me, coupled with narration that said James Dutton had three kids. Two died. We know the girl died. That left two boys nearly starved to death when Jacob arrived in Montana in 1894.

Emma Dutton must be Lil Jack's Mother, but did we see John Dutton, her husband?

In the letter, Cara said, your Uncle, Your brother, and Lil Jack are moving cattle to the high ground. They did not make enough noise about Emma. I am assuming she is a Dutton and Lil Jack's mother, but why did Aunt Cara go make nice with the young girl and not Jack's mother?

FN soap opera.

I think the young guy (that was getting married), will turn out to have been killed at the end of the episode. You had to look close, but it looked like the guy in the horse with the sheep, fired a rifle at him. Just a small puff of smoke to indicate a shot fired.

All the Irish twang in the actors in 1923 confuses me since none of the actors in 1883 had the Irish twang? I'm thinking the guy in Africa will come home and end up being John Dutton's grandpa? My dad was born in 1923, and current day would be 100 years old if still alive. Since life expectancy in those days averaged 60-65 years of age, I'm just trying to crunch the numbers. Lastly, Is the narrator the blond chick from 1883? Man, she was hot!

I'm still wondering who killed J.R.?

I think the same, except he already knocked up his bride-to-be, and she will give birth to the modern-day John Duttons Father.

Spencer is going to come home and kill everyone.

Boating content - I previously mentioned Costner’s boat, a 26’ Radon dive boat. It was then said, a poster didn’t realize he was a Newport guy. I don’t know that he is or was. He purchased the boat new in Santa Barbara. I’ve heard, he later stretched that 26’ Radon to 36’. That’s one hell of a stretch for a fiberglass boat of that size. That . . . would be interesting.

If you scroll down a couple of articles in this newer Radon newsletter, you'll see his new 36'. Seems like a new build to me ?

Thanks. Yes, a newbuild 36' Radon seems more likely. I just saw they now offer a newbuild 33-36' boat. Radons aren't for everyone. But, they're a long proven solid boat for the SB channel waters.

Prior to you sharing this Costner Radon story and peaking my curiosity, the only Radon's I was familiar with, were the extremely rough & tough looking Radon's built for local commercial fishing, lobster pot pullers, and Sea Urchin divers in San Diego.
They seemed built for one purpose, to work hard, get put away wet and keep right on doing it for a few generations.

So I was surprised to find they built models with a nicer, but 'manly' practical finish more reminiscent of Blackmans, but with an extra foot of beam. I bet that 36' with twin Volvo IPS was a sweet package for Channel Island hopping.

In the 80s I was VP at Innovator Boats, owned and founded by Jim Jenks of OP fame. It was a tough time for the boat building industry. Jim came to me one day and said, Hey, I bought you another line of boats. He had purchased Radon from Don Radon. Back then we built 16, 18 and 22’ Radons. The first 26’ had just come out of the mold. Fortunately, Don stayed on and also worked for Jim. It was definitely 2 very different boats and 2 very different markets - Innovator vs Radon. Our primary effort with the Radon’s was to make more of a sport boat than a commercial dive boat. Attached are photos of a 31’ Innovator and a 22’ Radon.

Back to the subject of Yellowstone, the show...

Worst season so far - WTF "mid-season finale" - this "season" sucked so many ways. The best news for me is I won't waste any more time watching the show until next year.

---
Yellowstone fans are used to explosive season finales, sometimes with the lives of several main characters left hanging in the balance. So it's understandable that the season 5 mid-season finale left viewers feeling a bit underwhelmed. Aside from the major development in the Jamie vs. Beth battle, it was a bit of a slow burn, with a visit to the 6666, a flashback to Rip's branding, and Kayce (Luke Grimes) taking over the ranch.

'Yellowstone' Fans are Officially Fed Up After "Disappointing" Mid-Season Finale

At the end of the mid-season finale, Paramount Network dropped a bomb about the show's return. Viewers will have to wait until Summer 2023 for more Yellowstone. Fans took to Instagram to voice their opinions about the show.
  • "Worst episode yet and this is the mid season finale?"
  • "I’m gonna stick it through to the end of this season but if it continues to go downhill then I’m calling it quits for Yellowstone!"
  • "Such a boring episode. There was no big cliff hanger"
  • "I think Yellowstone has sadly run out of story. Very disappointing- lots of filler, minimal plot points and no cliffhanger? Topped off by no more episodes til summer! What a letdown. Well, they had a good run for awhile🤷‍♀️"
  • "This show has lost its fire 🔥 😕"
  • "I expected so much more."

Sounds like it has jumped the shark. Good thing we didn’t waste the money to subscribe to a cable/streaming service to watch it.
