As we all learned, over the past four years, legislation can retroactively fix it! Only the next president will include congress in such decisions rather than ram it through by executive order. Even democrats understand the principal of over-taxation:

This mechanic must be making some serious bank, or have a shit load of kids to have a tax change of $7k after the bush tax cuts expire, the bulk of the "bush cuts" are they only cut the top rate by 3% (250k+ in annual income) and changed the child deduction credit from $500 to $1,000 on the earned income side, there were some other capital gains and estate tax changes as well, but they don't affect most people as there are initial exemptions into the millions for estate and capital gains surrounding your primary residence gains (where the majority of people's capital gains are made). At least from what i remember about the tax cuts.

Your post implies that you do not think Romney will win and that we should all prepare for heavier taxes due to Obama not extending tax cuts when he wins. You do know that the highest income tax rate prior to 1964 was 91%, don't you?
