6.7 Cummins in this is broadly similar to the 6.7 in dodge pick-ups, a good engine but a far cry from the big block 8.3 Cummins ISC. How do you plan on using it?

Our 37 pusher has the door on the side as opposed to by passenger seat. I kind of like it that way but you only get one couch in stead of two.
What do you have if you don't mind me asking

That doesn’t look like a Ford…what’s it doing on a tow truck?
Twice in 3 weeks going into limp mode the first time it was the plug for the #7 injector

Those Tiffins are nice, buddy just sold his after 7 years and they loved it.

Not an expert by any means, but I have owned a 33’ DP on the same chassis, from a different manufacturer.

The towing capacity is NOT 10K; it has a HITCH ASSEMBLY rated at 10K, a GVWR of 26,000, a GCWR of 30,000, and a net cargo carrying capacity of 3312(+/- depending on options). That means the rig would weigh 22,688 (26,000 - 3312) when completely empty…So fully loaded (need to check on 4 wheel scales) towing capacity would be 4000lbs. You’d probably have some CCC left over to add to the combined vehicle weight rating, so if the rig was loaded at say 24,500lbs, you COULD tow 5500lbs and be right at 30,000lbs.

In my experience, the ride was harsh (the bags have to be filled tight), the short wheel base and long body made cross winds and passing busses/semis an issue.

For the most part , we ( at Northwest Coach) are not big fans of anything thor makes,,I think it really depends what your going to do with it,, For people that really want to put a few miles on their RV , these high production low cost units ( thor , forest river ,jayco etc.) tend to be full of small anoyances ..My biggest pet peave with most is the amount of thin plastic panels in and around the dash area that will start squeeking and groaning while driving and there really is no way to fix it because no one really designed a spot for the associated fastener ( screw) to LAND !
Out of all the RV manufacturers out there ONLY a couple (Winnebago industries ) actually build the parts for their own assembly line.. What I mean by that is all the other coaches the only parts made ( other then paper covered wood cabinets and interior stuff) specific to the coach are the front and rear fiberglass cap and the front interior thin plastic windshield , dash and trim..EVERYTHING else is from the UNIVERSAL RV catalog.. so when they need a part to go around a corner , they bend it tp go around the corner, when wimmebago needs something to go around a corner they tool up make a mold or die and make a curved piece that is consistent with another of the same pieces.. Winnebago is the ONLY company I can get brkts, molding , detailed drawings , parts breakdowns on and on..for every coach they make..
Every year we loose another great manufacturer to a sell out to the bigger companies whom really want the logo and model names to add to the shitbox high production lines they run. Most of the newer stuff 10 years or so Is only worth keeping around for a couple years. It is sad that you can not buy a coach and take great care of it keep miles not too high and still they want to self destruct..
ANOTHER thing to look at for you kids down south is the amount of fiberglass/filon that is starting to blister on the sidewalls after the 8-10 year mark, it is caused by heat on the dark color stripes and paint jobs.. I have done loads of testing and research to learn this ; It looks terrible , it hates wax , its not sand and prime, repaint fixable , its annoying because all the other lighter colors will be perfect.. What I learned while testing was the average RV sidewall in the sun can vary from color to color..For example heat temp gun testing on a silver coach with dark grey and black stripes was ( on this particular day ) silver 110 degrees, dark grey 145 degrees, black around 165 degrees.. so even silver right next to black sees that much of a swing..So be looking for that as well..Thats all I have to offer.. BUY LO SELL HIGH !!

RUN AWAY from Palazzo’s. I had one, factory service was beyond terrible. The dealership bought it back. After that fiasco I started an RV repair business because the current industry is beyond repair. I repaired alot of RVs and hands down Thor products were the worst. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THAT PUSHER. Best products I have worked on in that price range are Fleetwood and Winnebago.

Check out the 2006 Alpine coach on craigslist in Phoenix. Way better build quality, better cjassie and a 400 horse Cummins.
Alpine were well built units , they are no longer in buisness if that matters..We have several customers still enjoying them..

@beerrun , I don't know much about the coaches and builders. From a mechanical standpoint, the 6.7's will feel kind of gutless from the factory. They are set up very conservative from the factory. They do get fairly decent mileage in stock form, and are fairly stout.

The ISC has a couple hiccups, egr pipe off the cooler from the factory was thin and may split, but the replacement is a better design. The DEF pumps and heaters for them tend to weep a little, factory hose clamps are spring types. The ISC is also tuned very conservative, but will move anything. Mileage suffers a tad, but pulling grades is no problem.

To me, any coach feels "squishy" going down the highway. I'm more accustomed to an older Peterbilt. When sitting that high on an air ride front axle, things just move around a lot.

That is correct. Pre emissions I'm not sure on RV registration in California. It is one h*** of a lot of coach for under $60000.

I recently went down this rabbit hole while researching DP's, and the one consistent thing is to stay away from anything built but Thor. Unfortunately, that includes the newer Tiffins. I looked at several Thor products, talked with several owners directly, sifted through tons of internet noise, and decided to stay far away. We ended up buying an older 2005 Country Coach and really glad we did. There seems to be a sweet spot in the DP world from 2000 to 2006ish (pre-DEF) where coaches were just built better.

Look for an older Monaco diplomat/Windsor or Tiffin phaeton . Might have to deal with gold accents. But it will be better ride and power. If you need towing rating of 15k, then a Fleetwood Revolution.
Agreed... We have an 02 40' Monaco Windsor. Very well built and has a very heavy duty chassis. Ours has a 350 Cummins that Gale Banks worked his magic. He bumps the torque from 1050 ft. pounds to 1200 ft. pounds. Apparently, that's the max that the trans can handle. We had a 24' stacker trailer when we were racing and loaded it was approx. 18k pounds. On the hills is was a little lacking but always made it to the top.🤣 We now have a 24' ATC enclosed that you don't even feel while towing.

As previously stated, you have the gold to deal with. We changed all of the hardware and it made a huge difference.

Are you towing anything?
