social media is what you make of it.
too many people cant accept the fact that others don't have their same mindset or view of things in the world and feel they must do anything to change them to their thinking. garbage in, garbage out..

since the onset of 2020 i made adjustments to my feed to see what i want to see. i also didn't let myself get caught up in the BS that's been going on. i started to use it more like this forum, just a wealth of information on vast subjects, finding different interest groups, pages that im interested in learning about, and finding positive things to follow and even share. FB marketplace is also where i spend a lot of my time on the platform. most of my stuff is car, camping, adventure travel, making things related.

That is exactly how I use it, I easily ignore the rest of the crap on there. The politics thing is funny, the idea of my changing some ones mind or them changing mine is laughable, aint going to happen....Like teaching a rock to fetch.

Funny thing is post like this that people try to justify why it "ok" that they use these platforms. "But I just use it to talk to family.. or to buy/sale stuff!"

Whatever the reason you're still ultimately supporting, by using it, what you are against.

I agree 1000% on this. Zuckerberg is worth $132 Billion and growing. Is this the guy you really want influencing our politics and policy? He will be the next Soros or Gates. A man who censored a sitting president and got away with influencing federal elections.

I always told my clients to stay off social media. I can't tell you how many times I would use a person's social media posts and pictures to destroy them in custody battles. I just never could understand how a person could take the stand under oath and blatantly lie. " No, I never drank while taking the kids out on the boat!" Then you start pulling out the my space or FB pictures with them drinking and quotes about how much vodka they drank while boating with the kids.

Or the idiots who claimed they couldn't work and needed spousal support due to back injuries. Then we pull out the pictures of them riding and jumping quads at glamis etc.

I just don't get the attention whores. LAM!!!
