Doug that new Red/black M35 reminds me a lot of the M31, 1350s boat you took to OK last year? After the LHC boat show? Don't you think so? Also that all white M29, 565s boat has to be one of the nicest, stock 125mph boat out there! Wow!

You are absolutely correct; same graphics. Good eye Pokey.

Always enjoyed this thread!! How many miles are on your truck now?

The truck turned 1 year old last week. It has just over 174k miles on it. The only issue it has had, I had to replace a DEF filter sensor. The brakes lasted 150k+ miles, the calipers were seeping so I replaced them. I love this truck!

Doug could probably qualify for an Amex black on fuel alone for his business. Well, not quite. But you get the idea.

Here we go. Time for another installment. Blasted out to North Carolina to pick up this F-29. Preston at Horizon Motorsports sold it and it needed to be brought back to Havasu for a good detail so the new owner could pick it up.

Picked up this Howard 28' Bullett from DCB. I delivered it to a very happy guy in Oklahoma. If the boat looks familiar, it was the trade in for the white M-29 that went to New Mexico.

From Oklahoma I went up to Iowa for Rick at Maxed Out Marine to pick up this Eliminator 30' Daytona. Brought it back to Havasu.

Tim at OCM had me go to Long Beach to pick up this 33' trailer. If you have a good eye, you will see I am not using my truck. AJ let me use his truck as he had me go pick up these 2 very nice motors from Teague. The motors were ultimatley installed into the CRC race boat by AJ of Barrett Custom Marine.

Doug,

I'd be interested to know what tools you carry in your truck for the "what if". I can only imagine that you've ran into a few situations.

Hello again RDP's. It's been awhile and alot of miles since my last post. I'm going to try to make the time to restart and keep up with this thread again. The first boat of the new year was this F-26 with twin 300s. The new owner wanted an aluminum trailer built as he lives in Gig Harbor WA and uses the boat on the Puget Sound. The steel trailer has already been sold for those who were going to ask.
20180103_140305.jpg

On the way up to Seattle I got a call from Hernando at Cobra Boats about pulling this beautiful 26 Razor to Montclair from Gilroy. Talk about perfect timing. He got it all arranged, I picked it up on my way back south and dropped it off. This boat is going up for sale. It is an original owner boat that appeared to be "as new". Someone is going to get a very nice boat. Call Hernando At Cobra Boats for Details.

Thanks for checking out my post. I will be reporting in on my travels as regularly as possible.

not really. the last one went 435,000 miles without needing anything but a new DEF system. Just made a deal on the Chevy that I could not pass up, Very surprised with the Chevy. It has far exceeded my expectations.

Do you like the duramax over the 6.7 scorpion? Would you mind sharing the pluses and minuses of the 2 trucks?

I have no complaints on the Ford at all. I've had 2 6.7s and liked them both. The Fords, both had DEF issues...the 2012 kept burning through sensors. The 2015...I had to replace the complete DEF system Seems like it was about $4000.00. The second time the DEF system failed I removed it, the EGR, straight piped it and tuned it, After that the truck was perfect. Actually it was better than perfect. The Chevy is a 2017, already 65,000 miles trouble free so far. The Chevy seems to have more power and torque (stock) than either Ford did (stock). The Chevy is a much better ride, alot more comfortabale. This is just my opinion. I had to rent a truck for while, it was a 2017 F-250. I put 10,000 miles on it, still like the Chevy better.

these are my adventures from last week.
Picked up this big 30' Playcraft trailer from Horizon Motorsports. It is for the "Spooled Up" Toon. I delivered it to Playcraft in MO. I believe once the boat is finished it will go to Mark Morris in KC for a matching paint.

20180122_144041.jpg

20180122_144019.jpg

I returned back to Havasu with this new 27' Playcraft for Horizon Motorsports. It has no motor currently so iy could be purchased with your cjoice of power. The bigger, the better.

20180126_110802.jpg

California Speed and Marine in Havasu finished up some service work on This 47' Fountain. This thing is huge and is running 3 Teague 800s. Owner says it runs in the low 100s. I took it to BPM in Van Nuys for some additional work including a generator. This boat mat be for sale in the near future. If anyone has any interest let me know, I will get you in touch with the owner.

Befoer returning home to Havasu I stopped by Howard Boats and picked up the newest Howard for delivery to the very happy new owner here in Havasu. This one is rocking a Merc 600 and is awaiting some upgrades after is broken in. Boat will be used in Havasu.

Picked up this F-32 from Maxed Out Marine. The new owner is getting some upholstery upgrades, so I dropped it off at DCB. This will be the third different owner of this boat that I have hauled for.

20180201_153307.jpg

My return trip back to Havasu I pulled this bad ass M-35. This is the new one rocking Mercury Racing's new 860s. This boat really needs to be seen in person. The orange seems brighter and deeper than the ones I have seen in the past.

20180202_120753.jpg

So I blasted out to Ponchatoula LA to pick up this newly purchased 30' Daytona. Brought it back to Havasu to the Happy new owners. They will be keeping here in town and will probably wear it out. Looking forward to catching up with them out on the lake.

I picked up this really nice 35'Donzi from Wide Open Throttle Marine down in Carlsbad. Great bunch of guys down there. They had everything dialed in to the "T". I believe the boat was sold by Paul at Maxed Out Marine. Purchased by a gentleman from Ontario CA. I delivered the boat to Niagra Falls NY to his buddy. He will come across the border and take it home. His buddy was running a 25' Talon with 2 300XS. pretty cool boat.

Thursday I picked up this M-35 trailer from Adrenaline here in Havasu. This is an aluminum Myco that they modified. They added the drive guard, the big ladder/step on the front and many, many lights. I took it to DCB so it can be put under its owner.

I returned back to Havasu with this F-32 that was in for some service work. Put it away into its storage unit and off to Needles for the Boat Show. I have to play sometime, lol.

Wow!!! Over 7500 miles this last week. Started the week off with loading up this old YZ 250. I have a customer who collects and still races these old things. He is also a multiple DCB owner.

20180225_092039.jpg

This bad ass F-26 with twin 400s has been sitting at Maxed Out Marine for a while. It was built by the MX bike guy. He for some reason never took delivery of the boat, but he found a buddy that had to have it. Hooked up to it at Maxed Out Marine and rolled it all the way to Longview TX. I dropped off the bike and unhooked the boat for the delivery right there.

20180225_101121.jpg

To make things easy, my return boat was there for me to bring back to Havasu for Rick and the boys at Maxed Out Marine to sell. This 27' Daytona is available for a new buyer to pick up just in time for summer. Call Maxed Out Marine for details.

20180226_112644.jpg

20180227_170549.jpg

One night in my own bed and off to Iowa to pick up the trailer for my next boat. It seems the trailer builder was running behind and could not get the trailer to Indiana before I got there to pick up boat. So, they left it in Iowa along with the load for the marina in Iowa. Transporter problems, hurry and wait.
20180301_133322.jpg

So, I get trailer and off to Middlebury IN. The factory of Trifecta Boats. boat was sitting on ground when I got there, guy picked it up with a giant fork lift, set it on trailer, strapped it down an off I went. Delivered to Preston at Horizon Motorsports. This is a sold boat and will be delivered to the new owner early next week. It is a 29 footer with 2 400s, should be a pretty awsome ride.

20180302_081447.jpg

20180302_081512.jpg

These folks up north are nuts. The marina I picked the trailer up at is on Lake Panorama in Panora Iowa. Looks like a beautiful place (in July). Not so nice in early March.

We all love these updates but your not consistent enough with your updates. We need at least weekly updates. You have been good the last couple months. This should be the most viewed thread on RDP. Don't take any offense to any of this. I'm about 10 beers in right now and just enjoying your update wishing we had more. Love this thread safe travels my friend.
