I don't think. I first came through Rosaritos town in 1980 when blvd was kinda a dirt road at hotel. Its still sleepy nice till summer when folks hit town pretty hard on weekends. I just went to Puerto Nuevo for lobster fix.... its the same village I'm sure you remember. I think I paid $22/ each including a margarita. There's some newer highrises to accomodate the gringo money moving down but the vibe remains chill. Of course there are a few fancy pants places with US pricing as well. Last time I was there we went for a lobster dinner. I remember we were in my dads truck driving dirt roads and kids kept jumping on the back bumper for rides. Good memories. Dads side is Jalisco moms side is Sonora and Magdalena.

On Labor Day 86’ right before school kicked back in we were staying at La mision surfing NZ South swell around the region and partying at the bar at La Fonda on the last night . This “old” probably 25 yo ish chick I was hooking up with handcuffed me to a bar rail piece where the blenders were built into the bar top when she went to take a piss before she took me home so I wouldn’t leave without her . I always remember that trip because when high school started back in two days later, I barely made it to my first class before I almost shit my pants and had to run off the open campus to one of my buddies houses to hit the shitter. Then I barely made it home in my truck and didn’t even make it back to school to sign into classes for another day or so lol. I think the lobsters at Nuevo were 6-8 bucks back then and a beer was .35 . We “bought” a lot down in Guerrero near Troncones which has that older time 3rd world feel I remember from Baja in the 80’s .

I loved Rosarito in my younger days. We would drive down from San Diego, stay at the Rosarito Beach Hotel and hit up Puerto Nuevo for lobster. I want to say it was like 6 bucks back in the early 90's. Crazy times down there!
