Seems the most popular are Rott's, labs, boxers, mastiff's, followed by the little dogs.

Choc lab who is a great dog. And a bad idea Germ Shep by my son. Fucking pain in the ass. Not a fan of that breed. Maybe its just this dog. But he's a lil fucker.

I guess I haven't been keeping score?
How many Rotts are on here?

I didn't count. Besides me, couple of others.

I'm actually not surprised if you look at AKC registration the most popular breeds mimic here.

You might be right there, however the AKC #s won't include the vast numbers of byb dogs.
I didn't count in this thread, but the other thread I count no less than 8 Dobies;)

That number almost wasn't though,we seriously considered a Rottie before we got the Dobie.
While I will always have one,a Rottie is definitely on the short list of others we would get. We've known some awesome examples, one was a therapy dog out of Colorado. She was such a great dog.

I'm actually glad the Rottweiler's fell a few places in AKC registration numbers. Dobermans are a few places behind the Rottweiler.

I originally wanted a Doberman, but ended up liking the overall look of the Rottweiler more. I've shown two of mine in German Style shows. Got into their pedigree's and have invested time researching the breed, so I'll probably never not have one. But for an extra friend for my current boy thinking German Shepard now.

And another Rottweiler.

Almost time to take the mutt for his nightly walk. Only 90 here, still waiting for the sun to drop below the trees, its cooler that way.

I hate this....we have none, but the kids have a mini dapple dachshund, chihuahua dachshund mix "chiweinnie", and a chihuahua. All great, but yappers, used to big dogs that only bark when need be, not dogs that bark because a fuckin fly farted.

We generally get them in two's, keep each other company. These two are siblings, are about 2 in this photo. They had a fantastic beautician that groomed them every week. :)

Cow Dogs (Australian Cattle Dogs, Blue/Red Heelers) are our favorites. Wifey has always had at least 1 heeler her entire life. Right now we have 1 old time heeler named Hank...he doesn't like the water and is getting slow around the horses (almost got kicked today). Earlier this year we lost our heeler Roxy, who loved the pool and the boat. Cow Dogs are a great all-around dog - loyal, they can protect you, smart, and of course, they herd anything, including house cats :thumbsup

We also have agiant Black Lab that showed up at our house, and a pitbull/weiner dog mix that was also a stray.

In the past we had 2 Schipperke's, a Basenji and an English Mastiff, all at the same time, all cool dogs.

last month, the worst thing that has ever happen3d to me in my life. All 3 of my dogs got out through a gate a worker had left open. All 3 of our babies were hit and killed. I was useless for several weeks from this tragedy. It was worse than losing any of my human relatives. Rip Atticus, guido, and kimbo. 20140528_205432.jpg

My first dog was a Beagle, then I had a Golden Retriever, my sons first dog with me and the ex is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, by far the smartest animal I've ever been around, sheds a shit load but what a great dog. With my GF we've had a blue pit, great dog but when his Jack-Wow-Wow brother got killed in front of him he wasn't the same, we gave him back to the breeder that still has him. We have 2 Jack-Wow-Wows, cool dogs but dumb as shit, LOL.
