My cousin just retired and moved to Thailand a few months ago. He's a pharmacist and is collecting his retirement and SS from here and also his retirement from Germany since he lived there for 20 years. He's 62 and single (divorced). When my wife and I went down to the Polynesian Islands a few years ago, we met this couple with 2 kids (5 & 3) on their boat. They were from Denmark. At the time, they had been sailing for 2 years. The parents were homeschooling the kids on the boat each day. The little boy came right up and conversated with us. We were astonished at how intelligent the kid was. They would sail around moor up on different islands/bays every few months. The parents had some type of GPS Wifi to continue working remote. This gave me the itch to try something similar and seeing the world other than just hanging at Catalina or the Channel Islands.

Dated a Korean girl in my early 20's. She would take me to her moms for dinners. Holy crap the food was good. Jump to last year and I had bulgogi and I was like why did I stop eating this stuff. Just loved it, so I bought some gochujang and started cooking with it. Still doing the store bought Kimchi, but one day I will make my own. If you haven't tried Korean food you are missing out.If I had to pick another country to live in, South Korea stands first on that list. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to stay there and it was quite an unforgettable journey. You can walk through busy Seoul streets or climb scenic mountains such as Bukhansan - there is always something fun to find. Plus, the food! Korean barbecue, bibimbap, kimchi... I could go on forever. Another country I'd consider living in would be Japan. I am always attracted to the deep history, beautiful sceneries and special mix of old customs with new advancements. Tokyo's vibe really spreads to you, and why would someone not wish to feel the peace from Kyoto's temples? And, of course, there's the mouthwatering sushi and ramen. But at the end of the day, I'll choose to stay where my family is

A lot of Brits, I mean a fuck ton, spend part of the year in Spain for retirement. My god parents for example. They seem to really enjoy it, and there is quite the community for ex pats which makes it easy, probably feels like an invasion to the Spaniards if I am honest.

We go to Italy for a month every year barring Covid Tuscany and the coast would work part of the time been to 30 countries and islands for the younger guys there are towns that will sell you a house for 20-30 k if you fix it up and live there part time web it up Italy is really special
