You guys are fancy, grab a couple boxes of uncrustables and put them in a zip lock bag(water tight) and throw them in the ice chest.

I hardly eat when I boat, mostly because i dont like the mess etc. But we usually take sandwich stuff...good meat and cheese, horseradish, pickles etc.

Tortilla wraps. Kids just like them with salami. We add either turkey or Black Forest ham with Swiss or pepper jack cheese. Roll them up and go. Can even eat them while cruising
Pringle’s cause they fit in cup holders and have lids.
Clear or white Gatorade for kids.
We don’t drink on the water, so no beers here.

This last week I stumbled across an old favorite dip I haven’t had in years and am incorporating it into the boating program going forward.

Green Onion Dip! It is great with chips, pretzels, carrots, celery and lots more.

I use a 16oz tub of Sour Cream with chives, and mix in one packet of powdered Green Onion Dip mix. Cheap and easy!

The dip mix is usually near the salad dressing in the grocery store. It takes 45 mins or so to thicken up after you mix it.

What is your favorite easy snack for the boat?

Instead of sour cream try plain greek yogurt for the green onion dip mix. Like the chobani

Fav snack is triscuits with kirkland natural sliced turkey and cheese from their 4 cheese platter or turkey avacado mustard sandwitches.

goose or deer peper sticks mixed with pork...once you pop you cant stop

I'll second what @MohavValley said on swapping greek yogurt for sour cream. Its killer.

We call them river sandwiches - super soft fresh bolio rolls from Von’s sliced in half, but not all the way to act as a hinge, with mayo and turkey, but the turkey is placed flat over the hinge point on the roll. In separate ziplock bags, chopped Claussen pickles, and chopped Roma tomatoes. Open the sandwiches and place a couple spoonfuls of chopped pickles, chopped pepprocinis, and tomatoes over the turkey, fold back over to close the sandwich and eat away. Not real good for little kids if you’re particularly anal about keeping your boat clean.

Kiowa Deli and Chevron on the corner before you go over the bridge also do boat wrapped sandwiches and they are pretty amazing.

I believe it’s wrapped in a ziplock bag after the paper wrap so when you put it in your cooler, it doesn’t get soggy :)
Gotcha. Makes sense. If ya grab a deli sammich up here, its usually wrapped in plastic wrap anyway...

Krispy Krunchy Fried Chicken from the gas Station. There's one in Fort Mohave and Havasu.

Although I haven't boated with @nordic454 in years, his wife always made a whole loaf of bread of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It was always a perfect snack.

Biggest mistake we ever made, on a blazing hot summer day, was allowing our kids to have Big Stick Popsicles in the boat. Once we were underway it looked those Popsicles were being hit by a hot hair dryer. That sticky stuff was all over the boat and our kids were crying because their popsicles had just vanished while in their hands.

Something Cold and refreshing.

Shrimp Ceviche
Chicken Salad
Tuna Salad
Cold Sandwiches
Sushi Rolls from Smiths

Iv'e learned to pack lighter now, I used to Bbq on the lake a lot more. The smell draws strangers to your boat like walkers from the walking dead. Next thing you know your Bbqing for half the people on the sandbar, lol. Although I've made a lot of friends this way.

Warm red-vines and oatmeal cookies for a snack. :D
Very few waterways around here that don't have decent food within minutes for a meal and bathroom break.
