Hangover hotel room scene. I crack up every time it plays.
Apocalypse now. Solid as hell. Think of it every time at the river when helo’s do their flyby's.

Oh I like this thread.... for me it was unmistakingly The Exorcist around 1975.... I was maybe 15 and a naive and sheltered kid... somehow my older sister decided it a good movie for us.... I remember missing at least 2 school days as a result.
Next would be Jaws around 1976 or so...... I was at family beach house in Delaware and it was a small beach town.... nobody went in water.

Edit: I just re read your post but I'm sticking.... those were my 'Most impactful movies"

Opening scene of Jaws. Imprinted in my memory.

Original movie Stagecoach staring John Wayne. Opening of the film with the coach being attacked. Yakima Canutt doing the stuntwork jumping on the team and passing through the underbelly of the horses.

Another fav...

The ending is classic, not the typical.

The scene that literally caused me to jump out of my seat all the way into the theater aisle. I can still hear folks laughing at my scared stoopid 14 yr old ass.

Still cant watch this for fear of it ruining my day ;)
