She loves to research the crap out of things but the problem is she listens to people's unvetted opinions online
My wife researches everything too. We were looking for a used car for the kids and my wife had certain safety criteria. Some of the models we were looking at had to be made after a certain month because an issue had been changed. She had been told multiple times “wow, you’ve done your homework. you know more about this car than I do.”
But, the downside can be it getting in the way of actually making a decision.

Always better to rent than own a depreciating asset.... Tough to hear .... but lets be honest here
… Being perfectly honest here… It got so close with the chick with the Porsche Cayenne… I didn’t want the car I wanted her …it got to the point of planning, where we were going to consummate our intamacy…
…After her group horseback ride on the beach when we started texting again, she started toying with my head about some cartoon character that I had never heard of and I texted something back that I should not have … But then I thought I had better finish doing her horoscope so maybe I could get some insight as to where she’s really coming from…With the Mars in Capricorn part…I think she has me way out powered and everything she does in life has to come back and be about her …so I have just backed away and it’s breaking my heart…
… I think she might work it the same way I used to..:It kinda used to be all about me🤷🏽‍♀️…Paybacks are a bitch…

Wow. Some interesting comments.

I got luck. My wife is into how little she has to spend, on just about everything. She hates spending money, except on the kids. She gets pissed when I buy her something expensive. Be it jewelry, handbags, whatever, she literally won’t use it..

No way in hell I could tolerate a high maintenance woman as my wife. Ohhh hell no… I can barely tolerate my friends wives that are high maintenance, hell can only tolerate them in very small doses. LOL.

My wife of almost 30 years… her biggest vice… giving to everyone else, but her self.
Its what she does.

If you give her $1000, tell her she has to buy herself cloths for an upcoming anniversary trip. (Because she complains she has nothing to wear). She will spend $950 on the kids and someone in need… buy a new pair flip flops for herself… Not joking. Then complain on that trip about not having anything to wear.

Dont get me wrong she has other things that bug the shit out of me at times.

This took some thinking.

I have come to the inevitable conclusion.
She doesn't have any vices.
She does love indulging the grandkids.
Cindy is incredibly family focused....she is amazing. She puts up with me...which may or may not constitute a vice...I dunno.
Whataminute...I got one. She loves reading weird sorta romance novels. Not the cheapo ones...she has a few authors she follows.

Concerts. Gotta relive her childhood going to see bands she was crazy about as a kid ( or as she has grown up, including her current tastes).

I’ve been to Hinder, cheap Trick, ac/dc, goo goo dolls, 3 doors down, def leopard, and others I can’t remember.

Thank god it’s rock and roll, and most of the bands I also like (or have grown to like as I’m subjected to listening to her music), but I HATE the crowds and concerts in particular are even more annoying because they can’t just sing the song you know off the album. It turns into audience participation and then giving speeches about shit. I don’t care what they like or don’t. Just sing the goddamn songs!

Not to mention most of these are expensive as hell. I try to stick to the cheap seats (if you’re there to listen to music why do you have to be close enough to see them, and are geriatric rockers worth looking at?) but factor in the tickets, parking, food etc. ugh!

How long had you been pursuing her? If I’m not hittin it by the 3rd date I am out. I usually make date number 3 a 2 day getaway at a high end resort, it gets me laid every time ;)

Mine likes to paint. One of the rooms in our house is a dedicated “art room” as she calls it.
I call it the cat room because it’s dog free. Baby gate to keep dogs out of the cat food and litter box.

Anyway her vice isn’t a vice per se but there’s a shit ton of finished and not so finished canvases in her room. Hell, she packaged up probably 50 or so for our move here that are still wrapped.

We must have a dozen sewing machines, a loom, and a bunch of other textile machines I couldn't name. She still knocks out a wedding dress here and there, but she doesn't spend much time in her sewing room anymore. Since she's been working at the bank, I've noticed she now has a shitload of shoes,,,,,, Being Italian she loves to cook and the kitchen is loaded with implements of destruction which I can totally get behind. 😁

Bikinis and red wine. Ho Lee Phuck does she have a load of bikinis and they seem to appear on the doorstep in groups of 6. Guess I’m glad she’s not into Beanie Babies.

..,She let me know six years ago she wasn’t interested, that I am too old for her..: there has always been chemistry between us, and she knows it… when I was in the hospital she laid on my shoulder for 15 minutes and I said …you know if it ever would’ve happened between us it would’ve been the real deal and she said yeah I know… But it’s the age …then when she brought her Porsche Cayenne by for me to maybe purchase… she just melted… it just seems like way too much work for the length of time that I have been interested.., she and her sister come over here all the time… and I had sort of forgotten for quite a while that I was interested…
… a few of my female friends have been telling me it’s never gonna happen because you had slept with her sister???… my thinking on that is…so what???… that was a. long time ago…🤷🏽‍♀️

That’s amazing. It’s a skill building & sewing & creating something upside down and inside out and backwards and to look correct has to be precision.

Thank you. When she gets going it's impressive to watch. She has a degree from FIDM for fashion design. Worked few movies doing costume design and decided that wasn't where she wanted to be. Then found her love for rock climbing and moved to Yosemite.

Had a great canvas guy in Vacaville before he finally retired.
Custom Bimini and a couple touch ups on the custom fit cover for the 24 footer was impressive for sure.

… I used to hang out some at North Hollywood upholstery… Because they have done a few of my cars… And to watch how they do this, particularly Albert the nephew of Pedro, the owner, who did the door panels and hand made the convertible top for my Buick… it just blows me away how they’re able to do it…

My wife is a workaholic……….

Sometimes she works 7 days a week. Sometimes she works till 2 or 3am, only to get up a 7, and start all over again.

As I am typing this, she is in her office working. (It’s 11:45pm).

Her only Vice is me! Lol

I look forward to when she retires, so we can go travel the world.

Well she's not my wife but we were lovers in mid 80s and I bought her a boob job. We're buddies years later and she is definitely addicted to plastic surgeries but its her money so I just watch the shit show. She was stunning at 27, then multiple face jobs to end up with latest version of whoever she fucking is this year lol I like her latest face but I don't recognize her at all from original version. That's sad. She had a wonderful smile, now she looks like a robot.

Also, pretty lucky in my wife doesnt like to spend money on herself. Like someone else stated, she would take any money she has and either donate it or buy something for someone else. I actually have more clothes and shoes than she does.

My girls call that a “bikini haul.”
Bikinis don’t get good until they’re over $100.00” continues the tale.

The hard part is your teen girls going to Troublemakers Bikini Shop.

Bea A Dyke Bikini store out here got me thinking too.
Really was the name. “Mrs Dyke was so helpful”.

Agree.... at 25 she was a natural beauty. Rough Rough family life growing up.... these facial plastic surgery gals all have issues I'm afraid. She's 62 now and I've yet to go see her recent work in Fla .... always a surprise ha... she keeps pics coming over years and I go ride her horses about every 3-5 years when she's inbetween husbands.

Hoarding cash... I can pinch a penny till it screams, but I got nothing on her. When we first started dating, she was a few years deep into her career and making decent bank and still driving the used Geo Metro that her parents bought her for college; I had to pry that baby out of her cold dead hands... I know, it's a good problem to have, and I'm absolutely not complaining!

If anything, it's probably concerts, which I'm in to as well so I don't mind. Good news is that our combined frugality makes it easy to splurge once in a great while without feeling guilty.

Sewing quilting. Simple t shirt quilt. she secretly aquired son in laws old shirts. If you look close the quilting is waves and surfers.
She hoards fabric View attachment 1302137
I have a friends mom who does all of my quilting of every Harley dealership I've ever walked in. Those machines are expensive, the one she has cost abut $40K and is like 12 ' long. Her model she has to do the quilting by hand. I guess the machines that digitally do the quilting can cost upwards of $50K

That quilt would be about $200 but my wife works at a quilt store so has the hook up. It’s quite the cottage business. This lady has it in her house. Those hand guided ones are a real skill.

$200.00! I guess she's giving me a great deal. She did a 36 t-shirt quilt for me and this thing is bad. $350.00. Did another with 30 t-shirts, $300.00 and 2 quilts of 25 t-shirts for $250.00 and they're all really nice.l I have a few more for her to do. She posts Facebook some quilts that I have no idea how you come up with the designs she does.
