New vinyl, pretty excited to get Zebra...I bought Jane Wiedlin for Blue Kiss ($2), and Billy Squier - which I remember was one of the first records I bought as a kid back in the day. As such, and only owning a few records a the time, I listened to it a lot, so it's cool to hear familiar songs from many years ago.

The Flying Lizards, I bought it for their version of Money.

Not the Floyd version of Money, but a cover of the Motown/Berry Gordy version. KROQ played it back in the day and I would spin it at parties as part of my alternative set.

Promo only copy, but this version is just okay. It has a mean skip at the start and the mix itself is funky, I've never heard this version. In fact, the whole vinyl is pretty "unique."

I never owned The Cult on vinyl, except for Sanctuary during the DJ days.

Electric was one o fthe first CD's I ever bought and played on my Onkyo system that I still rock today.

But I picked up colored re-presses of Electric and Sonic Temple.

Sonic Temple has a couple of gems on it, one of which is an acoustic version of Edie

The sound of waves breaking on the shore at Point Mugu Naval Base with the strong wind shaking my father-in-law's 40' motorhome. Feel more like mini earthquakes the wind is so strong. That's as good to me as any album.

Was watching a dirt biking video and this came on. Perfect song for random natural freestyle riding.

… I am listening to my girlfriend before last learn how to text… This could be interesting or a nightmare… I am a double Scorpio and she is a very intense Scorpio… We have been texting for a total of about 30 minutes over a three day span, we are already disagreeing so to speak of the use of the English language…. she has a very carefully picked out vinyl album collection… Then we would sit around for hours and pick out specific tunes or specific albums from back in our day… That part of it was great fun… But.???…

Numan really is an icon. I remember seeing his video Cars on either "Select TV" or "ON TV" it was one of the 2, it had to be 1979. His sound was so different, and he looked like such a freak. But dang, that song...
