Just send in your mail in ballots early...hell you get them weeks in advance.

Why suddenly fund the post office? If it were a private business it would only be delivering maybe 4 days a week at best.

It’s an interesting political strategy.

As activated rightly pointed out just vote early and mail it in. For example in Arizona 87% vote by mail and the Secretary of State received a letter stating that the usps may not be functioning up to task. So I think Activated is right and people will vote early to assure their ballot is counted.

But at the same time Trump’s greatest advantage is the debates and Trump implementing a policy that encourages people to vote prior to all the debates concluding may not fully take advantage of his greatest asset in the election. That is destroying and pointing out Biden’s weaknesses in the debates?

I think most Republicans will vote in person.
Trumps wants at least one debate before early voting starts.

First mail in ballots go out early September. First debate is on September 29.

Voting by mail has been the trend for awhile. Even in Republican districts.

Biden will probably have a random "Procedure" that day and wont make the debate for health reasons. That's my prediction anyways. He knows he cant handle Trump so he (And his handlers), will do whatever they can to avoid that arrangement. Mail in voting? Complete sham.

you know this is a weird topic for me, Being in Arizona native I have voted by mail for the last 10 years I enjoy the convenience because I work 14 to 15 hours a day I still get my voice heard,Kind a hard when you run your own business To wait in line for hours when you should be making sure your employees show up for work. Don’t get me wrong I am pro Trump,His business sense has served me well,I truly do not like the fact that he is a bonehead sometimes however he is better than we’ve had for a while and I will vote for him again.

Voter ID... Why are the dems putting it in the coronavirus bill to permanently get rid of it before its implemented? There are 2 things wrong. Why in coronavirus legislation? What are the democrats afraid of? I would think everyone in this nation would love for LIVING AMERICANS to be part of the voting process.

You could give the usps a billion dollars tomorrow and they couldn’t fix anything broken with them. One of the worst run part of government that isn’t even run by government totally. That’s the first problem.
The Second problem is the states that don’t have a big mail in program , for them to implement something this quick will have all kinds of problems. I foresee ballots not being counted for weeks, lost ballots, and ballots that will mysteriously appear. What’s going to happen when they can’t have a clear winner the next day after the election? Both sides are going to claim cheating, demand recounts it’s going to be a massive cluster fuck.

Sooooo..... anyone hear the story of the postal guy going......POSTAL? Last year there was a carrier that was hoarding mail that they did not deliver for YEARS!!!!! Personally I don’t want anything left for a government worker to ensure it is done correctly. Everyone needs to vote in a way that it is counted correctly. It is only right and the American way. :read:

I was listening to the Rush Limbaugh show the other day and he had a caller say that if the dems can drag out the election results to Jan. 20, 2021 than Nancy Pelosi gets the big chair. I couldn't find any info on this. Can anyone verify this?

Honest Question: What is the argument as to why we actually have a "need" for universal mail in voting? Why will absentee voting not suffice for those in need? Medical experts are saying Covid would not be a problem at the polls....So, why are the Dems pushing back so hard on going to the polls to vote?

Simple, Men who think like us are a dying breed. 8 billion people on this planet and few are free to express thought, preserve rights and enjoy an umbrella called the Constitution. We are lucky if 100 million think as we do. The rest are gunning for us.

Its simple math.

The post office is.
An extremely poorly managed business.

Their revenues have been sliding for years due to innovation and technologies providing more efficient faster and cheaper solutions.

The PO has not cut expenses commensurate with reduced revenues.

Now the commies are trying to use this situation for political purposes

@Racey is correct, there is a difference. Attached is a primer that explains the difference between the two. It also highlights five states that already vote by mail in ballots.

Here is a key language: "To get an absentee ballot, a registered voter must request one through their state government, which accepts or rejects the application. When someone is approved to vote absentee, election officials mail the voter an absentee ballot, which they complete and sign, and return by mail or, under certain circumstances, fax. Officials can reject absentee ballots if they are improperly filled out, and voters face steep penalties if they falsify any information. "

No one has an issue with absentee ballots.......but the "mail in" processes are flawed as "unintentionally" outlined in the article you posted...

So, what is a mail-in ballot?

Five states—Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, and Hawaii—already conduct their elections through a mail-in process that’s often referred to as all-mail voting. Registered voters in these states automatically receive a mail ballot, which is sent to their address before Election Day and mailed back by the voter or deposited at a voting location or secure dropbox by a certain time on Election Day.

SITUATION & PROBLEM....
Absentee ballots must be requested by the voter and the chain of possession is secure......According to your article ^^^^^, mail in ballots are mailed to EVERY REGISTERED VOTER......INCLUDING THOSE THAT ARE DEAD OR MOVED. Granted, if voter registrations were cleaned and purged, a mail in program may work....but until that time, ANYONE can obtain these ballots assigned to those dead or moved and simply cast these mail ballots.....and thus these "illegal" votes are counted.

Either you realize this FACT and support voter fraud .........or you are some special kind of stupid. Which is it?

Yes five out of 50 states has mail in voting figured out. AZ has it handled pretty good , So what about the other 45, just going to wing it.🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

I think I read when NY did mail in for the primary they sent them per address ready to send back, then when counting them they didn't have the required postmarks since pre-address stamped thing do not get postmarked. So they were thrown out.

Do any of the five states listed have rampant voter fraud issues, no. Were all of the states counted in the last presidential election, and every election before that, yes.

The states you speak of have purged their registered voter lists and have implemented strong cyber security measures......still not fool proof. If you can cleanse and purge the registration lists in the other 45 state....lets talk. Until then.......mail in voting in the other states is a joke and ripe for fraud and disaster.

Your 5 state example does not tell the story....so, you wanna talk about voter fraud in the other states that allow mail in voting and have yet to properly secure and prepare?

Let's start with these....
California
Washington DC
Florida
New Jersey
New York
Georgia
Illinois
Minnesota
The lists goes on....Tell me how there hasn't been escalting mail in voter fraud in these states......I'll wait.

If your state allows mail in voting for all....good for you....but how we choose to vote in Alabama is honesty none of anyone else's business.

Fuck the USPS, they suck ass. I swear, all they do is deliver 6 pieces of junk mail for every one piece of real mail. And at least once a week I get someone else’s mail with THEIR address.

It’s asinine to have 600,000 workers doing the work of 100,000 in a damn near dead industry. I’m surprised we don’t have a telegraph corps too, it would be the same fucking thing.

So, ya, I’m thinking I love that meme with the swamp drainer taking a big swing at one of the largest swamp rats around.

Batter Fucking UP!!
