Good to know.
Gabbard struck me as a which way the wind is blowing candidate.
She kicks Heels up Harris ass in debates is what caught my attention.
I really liked her as well until her closet was opened. 👎🏼

Remember when the Dems were trying to catch trump? It looked like a road runner cartoon..

Q like oks like that but with a worse track record..

It is mind blowing to me how so many people got so wrapped up into this shit and truly believed it.. including one of my best friends.

None of it happened..

“Well ya see it’s still coming!”

Seriously you have been brainwashed past the point of no return.

While I find the no tv and positions fascinating.. Q can suck my balls.
What I've learned from my time in the dungeon is there are some serious wackos on both sides of the spectrum. Literally blind to any information that doesn't support their stance, and willing to support everything that does, no matter how far out there, where it comes from, or how relevant. Kind of scary.

Outside of sporting events (except the olympics this year) I don't watch TV.

Where I struggle with this argument is that you are making a moral equivalence between the former Soviets/Russians. Certainly the US isn't perfect either but I tend to be a fierce American exceptionalist that believes that we have a moral high-ground on anything Russia/Putin does. Do I understand his argument? Sure, but that doesn't mean I agree with it.

I don’t think American exceptionalism gives us a moral pass to invade countries on a whim.

Here is where your premise gets turned in its head. We fought alongside Russia against Germany and Japan. Germany and Japan are now our allies, with our FULL support.

If morality was truly a factor we would be involved in conflicts to stop atrocities and genocide all over the world... we look the other way unless it conflicts with our interests.

Here is an easy one - why are we still buying solar panels made with slave labor in China?

I realize this is outside the current conflict, but I bring it up to say there is no real moral high ground we stand on. Make no mistake, I am America first all the way, but based on history, we don’t have a moral high ground to stand on.

Never said we have a moral pass to invade on a whim, the Russians don't either.

The difference with the Germany and Japan comparisons is that, after WW2 we installed governments that were sympathetic to the west and had western forms of government. We did this to create regional stalwarts against expanding Russian influence in the world in the late 40s. One of the reasons we dropped the bombs on Japan was to get them to surrender before the Russians had time to re-allocate it's resources from the European theatre to the Asian theatre. We almost didn't do it in time as the Russians were able to capture Manchuria and the Northern parts of the Korean Peninsula. The concern with allowing the russians to get to Japan during a ground invasion was that we would have had to divide Japan into north and south, like we did with East and West Germany, and like we eventually had to do with North and South Korea.

Regardless of your feelings on the Ukraine situation, please know that the MSM can not be trusted one bit with presenting what is actually happening over there or the actual cause of it...

That is what Iraq was.. lies and a whim. Similar was Vietnam.

You framed this perfectly.. we don’t need to be in the business of installing governments to people that don’t want them installed. That is why conflicts like these keep happening over and over. We’ve kept Ukraine at arms distance for what, 8 years of conflict, now they are our best friends all of a sudden because they have been oppressed by Russia all this time? We didn’t care then, and we only care now because we can use it as leverage against Russia....as the world relies on their oil and gas 🙄

I think you may be misunderstanding where I am coming from, I'm not saying that we should be rallying support behind the Ukrainians. They are not part of NATO and we have no obligation to be the world's police to fight the Russians off. All I am saying is that to say the Russians and the Ukrainians are equally at fault (or some have even said that they are rootin for putin) is laughable in my opinion.

To your point, why do we care at all then?

I get where you are coming from and and mostly agree with you but again, if we are honest with ourselves, if we were in Russia’s shoes, we would do a similar thing.

I think we'd be lying to ourselves if we thought there weren't future global implications to Russian expansion in the region. They said that they didn't want to be surrounded by NATO but if they are successful in overtaking Ukraine, they will have Poland, Slovakia, Hungry, and Romania right on their doorstep.

I don't think we should be involved in any capacity (yet) but we also can't pull a Neville Chamberlain and wait for the bombs to start falling on London before doing something about militaristic expansion. The hard part is finding the happy medium to that, I don't have the perfect answer to that but I would say that invading a NATO country (which Putin hasn't done yet) would probably be the place to start.

Okay Kevin, riddle me this.

China overthrows Mexico's government in 2014 and installs a puppet. The northern part of Mexico has a majority once American population (use to be part of the USSA) and if they were allowed, they would annex their portion of land back under America control, but China and their allies will have nothing of it whatsoever.

For years, China controlled Southern Mexico has shelled northern Mexico and now is rallying the world to put military equipment in the country and bring them into a world military pact that states if Mexico is attacked, the existing countries MUST defend them.

If you're the leader of America, how do you react to that after NUMEROUS warnings that you will not tolerate it and attempts with the Chinese to solve it diplomatically?

Nope.
Just a good ole Burn Notice coming at cha.

And why is it coming at me specifically? The majority of this thread has been a reasonable discussion about geopolitical implications of what is happening in the world right now. Certainly not everyone on here will agree with each other and that is totally fine, why must you devolve it into an unwarranted and uncalled for personal attack to me? Just because I disagree with your opinion?

I don't work in hypotheticals.

As I have said before, any effort of moral equivalency between the United States and Russia are a non-starter for me. As has been said in here many times, we are certainly not perfect by any stretch but I tend to believe that the world is a better place because we have been a mostly benevolent superpower on the world stage over the last 80 years. History has told us that the Russians were not a benevolent superpower and I have seen no evidence that would point me to saying they have changed their tune.

I didn't see any personal attack on you.
Because there isn't one.
Relax bro, I'm just going seve you with an official Burn Notice when you, and a ton of others, are proven wrong.
If you want to take it personal well that's kinda your issue bro.
Deal with it.

I was pretty clear that he hasn't invaded a NATO country yet and because of that we shouldn't be involved. Those aren't hypotheticals, that is the current state of the situation.

You may not think that "you have something coming your way" and that a promise of a burn notice aren't threats but I do, and since this conversation has devolved into meaningless threats this is where I bow out. Good day gents

You don't like that hypothetical?

Go ahead and muster up the courage to answer it, it has NOTHING to do with our's or Russia's past AND you clearly have been snowed about your countries' past and the shadows they operate under.

Putin Doesn't want Ukraine. He wants the fucked up crooked government gone. The US doesn't want that as that's where they have been laundering billions. There is a video out there that said since Ukraine has been "arming" it's citizens, the criminals have been getting the guns and turning into east Chicago. Putin is an asshole, But he is not stupid. Just like Trump. Putin is trying to give the Ukranians thier country back. Zelinsky was put in place by the deep state. He is part of the problem. The impeached Trump over Ukraine for trying to expose the mess. Like Yuma says, They have to let it run the coarse to show people how bad and deep the swamp is.

The near death experience for our planet will get worse before it gets better.

Enter China/Taiwan.
Then Syria/IsRaEl.
The IDF has been hitting Aramaic speaking ancient Christian enclaves that straddle the Syrian border with airstrikes.
Assad and Putin have repeatedly warned them the cease and desist but, to no avail.
Sound familiar?
Buckle up ladies.

Zelensky won the 2019 election with over 73 percent of the vote. He handily beat the incumbent President Poroshenko.

How is throwing out a President that won 73 percent of the vote giving Ukrainians their Country back? And if that is what Ukrainians wanted, why are they fighting so hard and not welcoming Putin as a liberator? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Maybe if you paid attention to the ENGLISH SUBTITLES of those doctors and scientists, you might learn something life altering.
Least of which is being able to read ENGLISH SUBTITLES. Or is that to hard for the "youths" of today?

If I knew exact times I wouldn't be here talking to you on a boating forum.
I'd be working with our Commander in Chief, DJT.
Drink your booze and do your own research pal.
All my thoughts and opinions are laid bare in the dungeon.
I'm not into hand carrying the behindered youth to learning new ideas or repeating myself ad nauseam.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Enjoy.

Very simple.
An election between Zelensky and Poroshenko is exactly the same as having to choose between AL Capone and Sam Giancana.
The choice is between who's least bad.
There's nothing good about this choice.
