I’m gonna be honest. If you don’t want to pay the prices don’t go and eat out. As a biz owner there is so much that goes into operating costs alone before turning a profit the average person wouldn’t even know. How in n out keeps prices low is beyond me. We don’t eat out a ton but we do. Rent alone on industrial warehousing is 1.39 a sqft where we are and that isn’t retail. Retail pricing is $$$$ think of how many sandwhiches you have to sell just to pay say 5-10k a month in rent plus lights, product, wages, taxes, insurance, maint, etc.

We had two lunches and four drinks at RoadRunner yesterday. 73 dollars. Plus tip. 90 bucks. My lunch was almost inedible. Wife said her burger was good. I really am not a fan of that place. I may not be back.

I bought a sandwich only, smoked brisket. It was above average size but not worth the 22.00 plus tip. The brisket I make at home is 10X better than this place. As mentioned previously, it seems one meal price is predicticated on the minimum wage hourly rate. I didnt eat lunch or dinner on Thursday night last week and was really hungry. Had to runb to our yard Friday and stopped at Jack in The Box for a burger and small fry. One smash burger and small fry, no drink was almost 20.00.

I actually wonder how most restaurants will be able to stay in business here in California due to labor, rent, food & energy being off the charts plus over regulation.

Restaurants that have been in business for 50 to 90 years are actually closing/closed right now. The next couple years will be the death of the smaller places. In & Out will always be around but I think they suck ass & not sure why so many people love it. Plus there's a 1/2 hour line just for mediocre food at best. Marketing does work & brainwashes the average person. To each his own though.

So mama wanted a Pastrami sandwich for lunch yesterday and there used to be a little sandwich shop on the south end of town that was pretty good so off we go, sorry closed, and now a donut shop.
We remembered a new shop in town on Swanson so off we go, got there and oredered our sami's and went to the counter to pay for 2 sami's and 2 smalll drinks. The nice lady says that will be $39.73 please, OMG I asked if that was correct and yes she said. Normally I would have walked out at that point but mama was hungry so we paid.
Now the food was good, and quite big to be truthful but crap ****$40 for 2 sandwiches ???????????????
Point is, if this is the future for us people then we dont stand a chance in hell of making it IMHO

I had the privilege of getting to attend a Rams game, at the new SoFi stadium.

We got to sit in one of the suites.

I was So far out of my league, it was unreal! . I would have guessed a bottle of water would have cost at least fifty bucks.

Luckily, everything you could ask for was there. Every alcohol, every appetizer, every possible snack and desert.

I can't even imagine what that deal must have cost, but that suite was owned by a nation wide construction company, who's owner has a house on a cliff in Newport,overlooking the ocean, that he used when he had clients to entertain. (His main home was in Palm Beach).

So my thought is...

If you're gonna hang out with the big dogs, you best be prepared for Anything that comes your way and not pitch a whiny azz bitch about it!

Me? I'll stay in my lane, with the home made 5.00 Boboli pizza crusts.
