This was an interesting project that I learned from. The Tub Of Fools had a 2" custom drain plug that runs off a mechanical cable from the transom to a handle behind the passenger seat. The old foam plug was falling apart. My Brother Gregory
convinced me to make a new one. I fabricated a plug out of aluminum to the exact measurements on my lathe. Then used the aluminum plug to make a mold. Once the mold was complete, I made a brand new silicone drain plug that worked out better than I expected. Now, I will make 2 or 3 more drain plugs to have as a spares in case the current drain plug rips or gets worn out.
