If hunters wanted to save elephants they would give money to villagers or whomever was most efficient so that the elephant herd would grow, not shrink as it is doing now. Nganga has agreed that the herd is shrinking.

Even the most simple of logic can accept that killing an elephant is one less elephant. It is subtraction not addition.

They don't give the money to grow the herd, they give the money so that they can kill an elephant. They are not trying to save elephants, they are at best trying to grow an elephant to kill with the full knowledge that despite their "donation" the herd is shrinking.

And besides, I would suspect it cost way more than 25 or 50k to manage and grow a bull elephant to size so they are not even fully paying to re-stock the cost of the inventory they are taking.

There was a ban on the importation of the "elephant trophies" to the United States......i.e a taxidermist prepared trophy of the elephant you killed could not be imported........

Then the ban was lifted for a short period of time, then put back in place by Trump.

So if you have a local African taxidermist stuff the elephant you shot, and have it shipped back to be displayed in your trophy hunting room regardless of where that trophy goes to, how is ivory not involved? Don't elephants have ivory tusks?
